SrFrog 928 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 (edited) This isn't about the worst films you've seen. Just those movies that were overly hyped and just ended up a disappointment in your eyes or that didn't live up to the hype. Top of my head I can think of two: Cloverfield: often hyped as the next big American monster film, I just found it to be a disappointment due to the lack of actual monsters in the film. James Cameron Avatar: All flash and no substance the love story in there felt awkward at times. Oh, and than there's the comparison with Dances with Wolves. Twilight Series: The plot feels cheap and somehow it's able to attract a fan base that eats it all up. Chigens and Kay 3,833 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 Any "Horror" movie that has been released in the past few years. Protip: Don't watch them. 1 My signature broke
Titan Rising 2,156 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 I liked Avatar and Cloverfield lol.. My most overrated movie in a long time has gotta be Toy Story 3. I thought How to Train Your Dragon and Tangled were both a lot better.
Nightfall 3,950 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 Avatar by James Cammeron... or however you spell it. Honestly, the effects were AMAZING. But you look past that, and you get a cliched story-line and not really that good dialogue.... Also, I don't agree with the pantheism, but that's because I'm Christian. I saw it on mah 11th birthday 2 times and it was worth waiting an extra day 'cause they ran out of 3D tickets . I still don't know why I don't have a DVD copy of it. I love the movie . EDIT: Wait, did you mean the show Avatar - The Last Airbender? Edited May 5, 2012 by deaglePower
Proctra Music 335 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 I meant the one that came out like a year later. It was referenced to last airbender. The one that had like 3 parts? The blue people one was amazing.
Dark Qiviut 22,681 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 Avatar for one. It's by far one of the best movies to look at in 3D. In fact, prior, most movies were created in 3D as a crutch to create extra revenue. In Avatar, that wasn't the case; it was filmed for 3D. But while the CGI is absolutely stunning, its story is BLEH! Very clichéd and predictable. Amazing graphics, terrible story. Another is Disney's The Little Mermaid. Besides the animation effects and songs, the rest of the movie gets WAY too much credit than it deserves. The plot is super shallow. Every character is one-dimensional and unlikeable (especially Ariel). And the pace is way too quick. I mean, from not knowing Eric to suddenly declaring you LOVE him after seeing him for the first time? For a character as young and naïve as Ariel (who was sixteen), it didn't make sense one bit. WTFisupwithyouguys 24 May 5, 2012 Share May 5, 2012 Hugo. It had great visuals, and not much else. It was way too slow and took itself way too seriously and ultimately the conclusion wasn't worth sitting through the entire snoozefest just to get to it. Easily the most overrated movie I've seen in a while.

Strafe 596 May 6, 2012 Share May 6, 2012 All of the paranormal activity movies, I mean really? They weren't scary and kind of boring. 2 "The Gods envy us. cuteycindyhoney 13,345 May 6, 2012 Share May 6, 2012 My Neighbor Totoro. I don't need to see Japanese Calvin & Hobbes, thank you. Huh? I actually do not see any similarity at all between the two. "My Neighbor Totoro" was a touching and beautiful film. It's my third favorite Studio Ghibli film after (my favorite animated film of all time) "Kiki's Delivery Service" and "Howls Moving Castle" Thank you Sparklefan1234!!! Starshine 16,335 May 6, 2012 Share May 6, 2012 New Moon and Eclipse from Twilight series. The 1st one was terrible, but it was bearable to an extent. But somehow the director managed to destroy what was left of it ._. Kind of shame, when I actually rather enjoyed the books. Hachiko. It's sad and everything, but somehow the story was too cliche

Bow Heart 84 May 7, 2012 Share May 7, 2012 Ink Heart. It wasn't so much hyped about, but I'd read the book and when the movie was announced I freaked out. I loved the book, the story was so interesting and always kept you wondering what would happen next. So I went and saw the movie and.... was so fucking disappointed. (Sorry for my language) They left out all of the most important parts!!! I was totally enraged! They forgot Dustfinger's scar, they left out the fight between Maggie's mom and Basta, and just about everything else that was important to plot development! If you've read the books, DO NOT SEE THE MOVIE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. 1 Tonight I've become the most dazzling precious treasure I am treasured over all the earth Just look at what he's done How he's laying down his life Take this life, oh most dazzling precious treasure

Raptor_a22 83 May 8, 2012 Share May 8, 2012 Avatar is a great movie to watch once, because then you're so awed at the graphic effects that you don't have time to think about the terrible plot. The first transformers movie was BLEH, but most people I knew went to see it, so I did as well. The Wolverine Origins movie was pretty terrible, but all was forgiven after First Class. Star Wars II was too much boring romance, too little giant space lasers. III was hyped up too much and rather boring 'cause you knew what would happen yet they didn't seem to care. DashPony 359 May 8, 2012 Share May 8, 2012 Eh....Twilight. Probably the worst movie I have ever had the displeasure of watching.
