So, who plays the guitar around here?

Electric or acoustic? Flamenco or metal? Picking or hardcore string-destroying strumming?

Me? I play a Takamine (which I refer to as Jasmine and say sorry to whenever I bash it off a chair. ((which is often)))

I do a lot of picking, and I play pretty much anything. One-Eyed Doll? Yes. Arcade Fire? Okay. Los Campesinos? Thank you, please. Selfies? Errr, I'll see what I can do.

What about you?

I occasionally play some acoustic guitar for fun, I'm not too good with it.

Some chords are HARD to play :/

Hail that. I couldn't play a barre chord to save my life.

I replace them all with F whevener I happen across one on a tab.

Yeah, bar chords... Fingers hurt even when thinking about them...

I'm going to college next year and majoring in guitar. I try to play everything from metal to classical, but I always seem to come back to jazz and blues.

I have 9 guitars in total and the ones I use most are my Ibanez Steve Vai signature Jem, my Yamaha standard nylon string classical, my ovation acoustic and my Ibanez 7 string.

I like to play through either Orange or Mesa amps and my favorite heads are usually EVH.

I currently jam with a Mesa boogie top cab, Mesa stiletto bottom and an EVH 5150 head and I absolutely love it's sound, but I don't own it myself. I want to, but i don't have the cash, so borrowing it works for now.

I also love using pre-amps such as the Axe-Fx II as I can get almost any sound I want with it.

I usually use a pick when I play, but I've been writing a lot of songs that are exclusively tapping and finger-picking lately also.

Sorry for the long post but like going into detail when it comes to music.

I do. I wouldn't consider myself a pro, but I enjoy picking up my guitar and play some tunes to help me relax. I've been playing for about 4 years I think.

I have an electric, an acoustic 12-strings and an acoustic 6 strings.

I usually pick up my 12-strings and look up the chords for a song online and try to play it and sing it at the same time (even though I know I'm a terrible singer! :P ) Either that or just improvising some solos on my electric or acoustic.

I don't play in a band or anything. I really just play for fun.

I took three years of guitar in high school; only for it to go to waste as I had to sell the guitar/amp for food money.

Edit: To make things ultra "feelsbadman", I was learning to play WWU on Electric guitar.

I play an Ovation acoustic guitar that I love. I have an Ibanez electric, but I kind of dislike it since it sucks for recording. I plan on getting a Charvel San Dimas Style 1 HH electric very soon though.

My primary instrument, however, is bass guitar and I own 3 basses at the moment along with a HA2500 head and a 4x10 Peavy tour series amp cabinet and a 1x15 Headliner Peavy cab. I planned on getting a Tour Series VB-2 Tube amp head for my bass gigs, but I stopped doing bands so there really isn't any need to get it. I don't need the head for recording either since I've got a Tech 21 SansAmp D.I for that.
