Season 7 set to debut in Spring of 2017!

If people really think the writers can't tell anymore stories with Twilight, then clearly they should have ended the show after season four. Because by that logic, Twilight should not be the main character in Season 7 because she can't develop anymore.

Anyway, at least this hiatus will be short like the last one.

I know fans have been lukewarm towards the inclusion of Flurry Heart as the fifth alicorn, but I want to see her develop further--as much as a baby can--as a character. Plus, it would give us more opportunites to feature Sunburst again.

 

I would enjoy seeing more of Sunburst and Flurry Heart's growth as well. She proved that when she stood up to Chrysalis with the other Princesses once they were free of their cocoons, despite only being a baby, but still packing a lot of magic.

I think she's more than capable of doing that. Her actions during the season six premiere proved that.

As we saw in the season six premiere, Flurry Heart has quite the magic behind her, yet she will need to be able to control it first otherwise it could cause a disaster. That's where I believe Sunburst will come into play. I think he will be her magic teacher.

Sounds good. Besides, you saw how she was channeling her magic as she confronted Chrysalis. Flurry Heart would pack quite a punch if she had been able to give Chrysalis a good beating for what she did to her parents and everyone else.

A shame that she didn't keep her magical sneezes though I suppose Cadance and Shining Armour are thankful that Sunburst was able to neutralize it. I don't think the Crystal Castle could have survived another one of Flurry Heart's crazy shenanigans.

Yeah, same here. Also, that double-counts for the Royal Family in general as I'm getting sick and tired of them always being the victims that have to be saved and can't do something on their own instead.

Yeah, she most definitely needs some screen time, or an episode all to herself, to make up for the writers having displayed her to be so useless when the fate of Equestria hangs in the balance by being one of the first ponies taken out by the villain before she can even fight back.

Well there was those Stoning beasts in G1, or that one episode wit that cat lady..eh those are the only two I actually know of.

I mean season 6 has been liek a newer season 1 if you think about it. Starlight like twlight so season 2(7) shoudl have better episodes. Maybe another Ember episode.

2017 is the year starting on Sunday like in 2006 (including my birthday is on 7/28 that falls on a Friday once again), so I expect the 7th season in March of next year. So that's "awesome" news and will look forward to that new season of ponies!
 
Also, 2017 will consider to be another best year for me and ponies like this year 2016 (a leap year starting on Friday)!

If there is any consolation, Principal Celestia has never once been portrayed as being captured or removed from the plot in order to focus on other characters. Sure, she was hypnotized by the Sirens, but she was never held prisoner.

Yeah, and she and Vice Principal Luna did have a major role in Legend of Everfree when they were willing to help save Camp Everfree from foreclosure, even after what happened with Gloriosa. At least they are not getting screwed over like their Alicorn Princess selves are being treated lately...

I wouldn't say that for Principal Celestia. I think she had a much bigger role in Friendship Games since she was in a few of the key scenes that helped define what the movie was going for. I do agree with you regarding Vice Principal Luna though. She had about the same amount of screen time as she had in Friendship Games, but perhaps she needs to have a bit more.

Indeed, and I am glad that they were more than able to help Sunset out with trying to keep the knowledge of the magic at Canterlot High School to a minimum and prove what the lesson of the Friendship Games were all about.

Yeah, we've only seen her in Friendship Games so far. I do hope she appears in one of the upcoming specials next year or the next Equestria Girls movie itself.

Speaking of other rulers to go back to the thread topic, do you suppose there are other rulers out there? As in, rulers of different creatures apart from dragons, yaks, and the like?
