My shower is just your ordinary run of the mill bathtub with a shower head way up above it attached to the wall. You turn the faucet right for cold, and left for hot and to turn it off. Our drain plug is broken so taking baths is pretty much impossible unless you stick a washcloth in the drain plug to keep all the water from draining out. Showers are better anyway. :ButtercupLaugh:

Oh, and did I mention the showerhead has a built in strobe light? :kirin:

Never liked those. You can’t control the water flow! What if I just want a little bit of warm water.... I don’t use full open when showering.

One knob that you pull out to make the water flow. Turn it left for hot, right for cold. Pull a switch on the tub faucet to make it go out the shower head.

You step in. Turn the water on. Turn it off and then you fall through the floor.

Thanks for reviving the thread! I live somewhere else now and would like to update everybody on my shower/bath water control system.

It's two knobs; one controls volume, the other controls temperature.

You can pull a button to diver the water pressure to the showerhead.

my shower is a shower-tub combo, and I have a single handle that turns it on and changes the temp. i am unable to adjust the pressure, sadly.

there is also a little switch that I pull in order to divert the water to the shower head or the faucet ^~^

Dumb is what it is. You have to adjust the hot and cold every 30 seconds or risk the temperature fluctuations. Ugh. dewhine.png.593c3160afd70b4d8e00aaf7b025927b.png

I have a shower and bathtub combo. I've had that in every place I have ever lived, so it's the norm to me.

Let me think of how to describe the way the shower in my apartment works, because it's kinda weird. I can do it automatically because I've done it so many times now, but it's still strange. I do know that the knob is turned counter clockwise to be turned on, but in its default off position, the knob is not facing a straight direction like you'd think. It's like facing at 2 on a clock. Typically getting it to where it is facing straight down (6 with the same analogy) is where I like it temperature-wise. You then have to turn it clockwise all of the way back to its weird default position to turn it off.

Funniest thing, though, is that when I was going to a local pool for aquatic therapy earlier this year, the showers in the locker room had the exact same kinda shower. It was nice for me to not have to figure it out! lol. I wonder if it's a local brand or something.
