Will Trump make America great again?

He is already really trying to help the US economy. Since he is a business man (a good one at that), he know how to work with money. Which is something we have never seen before. So I think he will do wonders for the economy!  :D

Other than that, no idea.

The best thing to do is to give him a chance and see what he can do instead of judging him before he even started.

Me personally has always been a Trump suppoter because Trump actually gives a crap about America.

Plus he has already made peace with so many different countries and some companies have said they will only making their prodects in America now..

I doubt it. I remain cautiously optimistic, hoping that he would deliver on at least some of his promises, but I think we'll see the republican/conservative version of Obama's hope & change (business as usual politics and not delivering on his promises). It's already looking very poor, as Trump is apparently considering Bolton and Giuliani for top positions - two absolutely atrocious people who are status quo as you can get. Bolton played a heavy hand in getting us into Iraq and wants us to go to Iran and who knows where else. The fact that these names are even up for considerations seem to be a red flag that Trump's administration will not change anything.

The majority of his campaign has been promises of fixing the country without offering any truly real solutions or plans on how to accomplish it.

Nowhere was our failed monetary policy, our awful foreign policy of intervention and war or the strong influence of financial elites on our government mentioned, and that's what makes me believe that Trump will do absolutely nothing new.

I hope we get some positive changes out of this, ie, cooling off on regime change, better relations with Russia, a movement towards trade instead of war, and strengthening of our domestic industry, but I highly doubt it.

The multibillionaire and highly successful businessman will make the country go bankrupt. Riiiiight...

To be fair , His corporation has filed for Bankruptcy a few times now .

Not to say he'd cause the same, But experts on both parties do say that unless he makes some changes, his financial plan would increase US debt by the trillions O_O

I'm not 100% sure if he'll be able to do everything he says he wants to do, but he's hot, so yeah that's great :P

I mean, both Hillary and Donald looked great 30 years ago (10 years ago, even).

But Trump will literally be the oldest president ever sworn in. Hell, his hair is starting to slowly turn grey by the minute. It was brownish 10 years ago, now it's blonde.

How can he be hot?

Men only get better looking as they get older until they hit that "so old you look like a raisin" stage in their 70s. :P

Who knows? I doubt it, but it all sounds extremely selfish and arrogant to me.

I'm willing to give him a chance, but I still think he's a despicable person as was Hillary.

I hope some people get the joke ^^

How can he make a country great "again" if it is already great? If anything he will make it worse, I mean how do you expect to have our military stay #1 if you want to get rid of the f-35?

We already spend more on the military then the next several biggest spenders combined. The F-35 project has shown itself to be an unnecessary waste of time, all the money and time invested into it has not paid off, so why keep throwing good money behind the bad. We don't need the F-35 to stay ahead. Having the "biggest and strongest" military does not make our country great, especially when we use that money for projects with a proven track record of failure instead of investing it into infrastructure, social services and market incentives.

Now, I am not saying military investment is a bad thing, some of our greatest inventions have come as a result of military R&D, but we are spending way too much of our budget on the military and are involved in too many unnecessary conflicts. The first thing we need is a drastically different foreign policy.

But we're not the highest by percent GDP. Saudi Arabia can claim that, and Israel comes second. US ranks 4th or 5th next to Russia. In fact, our military spending as been dropping for the last few decades with a small bump during the Reagan years. Simply looking at spending alone can be misleading. We still spend a lot but considering how large we are and how much GDP we have and the quality of the military we have to maintain it's not as much as we think it is.

Trump may increase spending but it's clearer that he would not get into more conflict than the US is already in. His idea is basically big stick diplomacy. He's also looking to improve relations with Russia; conversely Clinton's no-fly zone is not going to accomplish any of these goals and is just going to get us more tension from Russia.

My input for today:

trump, a climate change denier, will be president. Republicans, many of them fellow climate change deniers, will hold the majority. Republicans have made it clear they don't care about the planet. This, along with my copious other concerns, puts me in an anxious position. We've already done irrevocable damage. But if there were ever a time to throw our full support behind addressing climate change, it would be now. However, we can be certain now that won't happen. In fact, we will more than likely be heading in the opposite direction.

NOPE!!! He will instead make America go bankrupt!!! Possibly... :)

We are already DEEPLY bankrupt. Trump hasn't shown any plans to reverse that, so I think he will continue adding to the national debt. This is ne of the big reason for our proliferation of war, the value of the dollar hinges on the fact that we force the world to trade for it in dollars. Our economic conditions are so poor that if the world stopped selling oil for dollars, we would see hyperinflation and another great depression, wheelbarrows of money and all. Read up on the petrodollar for more.

My favorite thing about Trump is that his foreign policy boils down to "not messing up other people's sand boxes".

That is promising, based on some of the things he said. However, I think his actual actions as president will be drastically different. According to the news he is already considering JOHN BOLTON for secretary of state. Bolton is INSANE and an extreme war monger who wants war with Iran and think the Iraq war was a great idea.

Both candidates were strongly pro-war though, the only ones who weren't were Johnson and Stein.

We will see. I don't have high expectations.

Honestly, even though I do stand left on many causes, I just say: give him a chance.

If you want to protest him, sure, go ahead, don't get violent. If you wanna get rid of the electoral college, nothing's stopping you from trying. I just think we should see what he does, since no candidate can ever really deliver on every single promise they make nowadays imo.

Trump will do no such thing as "Make America Great Again." He's a madman, that's all he's ever been, and all he ever will be.

(Please don't ban me for saying that)

Also, Trump's 100-day plan is on track and America has a glimmer of hope for the first time in decades. Will you cry because CNN said he's worse than Hitler?

This has pissed me off. They're grown men who are the PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT. Grow up. They're acting like teenage girls who got called fat on Tumblr. They weren't even "rude" they just said they hope they've inspired him :|

Dude. A man went to the theatre to watch Hamilton, and they paused the play to attack the man and call him "waycis". I think they're allowed to be mad over that. I bet the others in the theatre who wanted to escape election drama and watch an old play are mad, too.

Honestly, I just don't care, having to deal with Pence as my state's governor since 2012. Ugh.

I feel for you. But if there's one good thing, he's not your governor anymore
