ManaMinori 4,146 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 Most likely, we all have ponies we dislike to various extents. But do you guys make sure that these greatly disliked ponies are not bought on DVD (if they show up, even momentarily, in an episode), in merchandise, etc, nor are allowed in your house? (Sunbutt, and Starlight Glimmer, in my case, are not welcome in my house) 2 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub

(Sunbutt, and Starlight Glimmer, in my case, are not welcome in my house) The only merch I buy is at Christmas for the donation drives; I don't keep FIM merch around as I really don't want being a brony being a well known fact about me So, when the donation drive comes up, Yeah, I Just pick the ponies i like and buy a couple hundred dollars of that and Avoid like the PLAGUE buying the ones that I hate, like Starlight. but there's not much more that I can do past that And sadly I have to admit that buying all the dash Toys on the shelves probably just means that some little girl that wanted dash won't be able to get it when THEIR parents come in to buy their presents XD >.<

Ganondorf8 11,424 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 While there are a number of ponies that I dislike, I wouldn't go to those kinds of extremes unless they really rubbed me the wrong way.
Swifty 249 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 (edited) Only Starlight, because i would feel threatened by her. She is a Sith and a Slitherin, who would curse me with a spell when things dont go her way. Most likely, we all have ponies we dislike to various extents. Maybe this sun god illuminati demon horse can heal you from your religious fanatical beliefs about her. Edit: just noticex now its about merch and no what if scenario you can find in General discussione. This is evento more ehhh. You would be weird if you would miss a whole set if one figure is present you dont like. Loll Edited November 20, 2016 by Swifty

They call me Loyalty 1,951 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 Just because you can't accept what they reflect about yourself, isn't reason enough to create judgment. It'd be adviceable to identify your conflictive patterns, rather than becoming a character of them.As quirky and enjoyable as it might be, I rather aim for higher understanding.Which means all are invited, specially those I dislike.
TranceBrony 16 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 Well if it was a figure on its own, then I would not buy it. If it was in a playset with another pony I like, I'd buy it, but f someone gifted me a pony figure I did not like, I'd keep it because I don't want to seem ungrateful. GrimGrimoire 4,973 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 No, I don't go to those extremes. If I don't like the character I just won't collect anything with that character by themselves.. if they are on a DVD, well i did not buy the DVD for them, so I would just either skip that episode or tolerate their part in said episode. ~No profound statement needed~

The Diver 760 November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 I really can't dislike a fictional character to the point where I would avoid them like that. Heck, I find it hard to dislike fictional characters overall unless they are designed to be flat-out evil in which case I dislike them for being evil. I really don't dislike any pony in the show! It also doesn't bother me because I have very little merch. The merch I do have I keep in a pack hidden in my closet. "I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. Wind Chaser 4,768 November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 (edited) I don't do merchandise, but if there are any characters I would stay away from, Snips and Snails definitely top the list, for being extremely negative stereotypes. Second are many of the one-shot characters from recent episodes, like Svengallop, Zesty Gourmand, Zephyr Breeze, Gladmane, Hooffields and McColts, etc. I get that many of the characters were intended to be unlikable, but many of them were unmemorable (or memorably weak), half-heartedly written, not entertaining to watch, and dragged down their respective episodes despite some of them having good roles in the plots.
