Earlier this evening, it seems that British music legend George Michael passed away at Ages 53.

 

This is very shocking news. Anypony else have thoughts they'd like to share about George's Michael?

Not only did another celebrity, a good musician might I add, die in 2016, but on Christmas of all days.

I was very shocked when I heard the news. These are my thoughts from my status update:

 

We've lost so many talented people this year. One of my favorite singers of all time. So many classic songs from this man. You taught me how to be a good "Father Figure" and to always have "Faith". I know that this was your "Last Christmas" with us, but I hope that you have finally found peace.

The one song of his that I liked more than any other he did was "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go"--I know that's not the actual song name but most know it as that--though Last Christmas and Faith were pretty good too. Ironically, my family talked about him a couple of weeks ago because of hearing one of his songs on the radio. I'm shocked that he died at such a young age--I actually thought he was at least in his 60s not his 50s.

Ironically, this could lead to a bit of a renaissance of his music, as people rediscover just how poppy and catchy a lot of it was.

My goodness, his original rendition of "Last Christmas" is the most memorable one that will forever be in my memory. R.I.P. to the soloist of that Christmas classic.
