I never watched that Movie but Sing is a Great Movie that Makes me want to see in Theaters (or possibly waiting for DVD Release) and No it's not racist.

Because there are certain characters in the film that are being called stereotypes of a certain race and a certain activity. I am not going to say the who or the what and let others decide for themselves. But I stand by the thought that it is an animated film about animals and to decide that it has a hidden meaning or agenda is just pointless.

 

People are going to see what they want to see instead of what is actually there.

The reason that I asked the question was that there is a video on Youtube about how ridiculous that people where complaining that Sing was racist .

I myself do not think it Is racists but wondered if others agreed with me .

I don't connect on how English accented gorillas can be referenced to racism. Somebody's just finding something to get triggered on these days.

Sing is an amazing movie because it shows the reality of life. Every animal came from a different walk of life and this is what made an impact on the movie.

I mean if you really want to look for racism in the movie, the main gorilla character is involved with a crime gang storyline, where all the other members he used to be apart of are also gorillas.

Racist isn't depicting gorillas as criminals, racist is drawing a connection between gorillas and black people.
