SaburoDaimando 1,196 January 23, 2017 Share January 23, 2017 Not caused by any of the known villains(Ex: Sombra, Chrysalis or even Tirek), but caused by an individual who manages to seize political power and oust Celestia and Luna? As a My Little Pony fan, I would like to see a newcomer come right out of nowhere and convince the citizens to turn their backs on Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and even the bearers of Harmony, that the ideas of Friendship and Harmony were a big lie, and even going as far as to drain the power of the Windigos to prove how much of a threat he or she is. What about you? Do you think Hasbro should consider a Season towards this idea? One that would make King Sombra's rule over the Crystal Empire look small in comparison?
Vinyl Scratch. 605 January 23, 2017 Share January 23, 2017 Not sure how I'd feel about an entire season in this setting but I feel if it was done right it could make for an interesting episode or 2 parter. I like the idea of a villain that's able to turn the ponies against the princesses in some way which could potentially drive the world into chaos, though it'd have to be done well. 2 "I want to live on mars so I'm closer to the stars." - Deltron3030
cmarston1 5,962 January 23, 2017 Share January 23, 2017 This is My Little Pony we are talking about, that generally wouldn't fit the tone of the series.

TBD 17,271 January 23, 2017 Share January 23, 2017 I think Starlight glimmer already settle that already. 1 ♪ "I practice every day to find some clever lines to say, to make the meaning come through"♪

Concerned Bystander 2,904 January 23, 2017 Share January 23, 2017 Uhhhh, the alternate timelines were in the Cutie Re-Mark, not To Where and Back Again. Indeed. My bad, I'm mixing up my finales. GrimGrimoire 4,973 January 24, 2017 Share January 24, 2017 I think it would make for a really interesting "what-if" storyline made for the comics or some straight to DVD sort of thing maybe... but not for a season of the cartoon. It would be too difficult to set up, and then explain away afterwards to get the show back on par. That is my issue with just about any serious content that redefines the very essence of the show actually. ~No profound statement needed~
heavens-champion 1,906 January 24, 2017 Share January 24, 2017 (edited) Honestly, I think Hasbro would rather not. It would be the Cutie Map expanded to 26 episodes rather than two. But if they did, I'd like to see a pig-like creature as a villain (to reference Animal Farm) Edited January 24, 2017 by heavens-champion
Ganondorf8 11,695 January 25, 2017 Share January 25, 2017 For an entire season? That might be a stretch since the show's main focus wouldn't be on full display. Maybe it would work better as a four or five episode epic dedicated to showing what could happen if Equestria were to suddenly become a dystopia. Unlikeable Pony 2,700 February 2, 2017 Share February 2, 2017 Not in the show proper, no, but I wouldn't mind an alternate continuity cartoon series or comic series based around one of the "bad" timelines and showing the characters fighting back in those ones. Tropico 226 February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 (edited) they did two episodes about a comunist village so i gont get why they cant make two episodes (better three) where a pony with lots of locuacity convinces the ponies to stop being friends and lures to make them to quit the princesess their role as rulers. The princesses wont attack their own citizens and will belive the better option is to quit. actually i find its easier to fit this plot in the show that the COMUNISM BY FORCE with secretly unhappy comunists ponies. so yeah, i can see it and i would love it. They call me Loyalty 1,952 February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 I don't think so. It's hard to see how it wouldn't interfere with the thematic of independent episodes along the season.
Luminance 2,187 February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 It would be hard to see how a cute little show turned dark and potentially alienating it's intended viewers with a whole season centered like that. At best, it's only in the comics or either a two-parter akin to Starlight's arc but I don't see them doing anything similar to Starlight's conflict again either.
