gaming Overwatch players: who's your main and why?

Which character on Overwatch do you mainly play as, and why?

I usually like to play as Sombra, because while I'm not that fast to effectively use the hacking weapon, I love her character and can sometimes do a lot of damage with her. I also like to do Junkrat and D.Va, but probably because they have pretty damaging ultimates, which works in my favor, because a lot of times, it's hard for me to get a lot of kills at once. I'm OK otherwise though.

When she came out I started to play Orisa, and before that I was a Reinhardt main

I like helping out my team and keeping them alive. I would main a support but for some reason no one plays tanks on console (xbox)

D.Va, Mei and Mercy are my mains. Just find them fun to play and really good, if I'm on my game.

RoadHog....because I grew up on RTS and Strategy RPGs, I can't aim even if I wanted to.

Also....I almost always play Offensive tanks in video games, They're just fun for me. 

 

If Team Comp won't allow for RoadHog or I need to fill, I usually just pick any Hero class that doesn't need aiming and fits the empty role.

I used to play on PC and no one ever picked support. Seriously there need to be more support mains in the world.

When I played beta I played Mei a lot... I mean I literally played no one but her. When the game released I began to main Genji, and Reaper for the longest time. Now I main Roadhog, Mercy, Torbjorn, and Reaper... depending on the situation... I mostly play as Roadhog though.

I don't have a main, I use a variety, can't play Genji at all tho.

The top ranked player in OW doesn't main any either, they focus on synergy for the win. Doesn't matter how good of a dps you are if your team needs another healer for example. I feel like this game you have more health than say TF2, so differences like that will stack slowly but surely in comparison. Definitely depends on map, synergy, and counter compositions.

A major problem I have with quick match is people like to go offense and sniper heavy, even when the team desperately needs another tank or healer.  I hate it when you could have a near perfect team comp if only somebody will run an additional tank or healer but instead the last one or two players pick characters like Tracer, Genji or Widow.

I haven't played Overwatch, but if I did I would imagine that my mains would be Roadhog and McCree,

as they are both similar to two of my favorites from Paladins.  Though I'd also play a good bunch of Ana as well.

 

None of the supports really carry over, and Barik's counterpart in the game is kind of meh from what I hear.

D.va, Junkrat and Lucio. 

D.va - first of all she's a waifu, duh :v I like using her shields to troll people who charged their ultimate skill and were already hyped about annihilating half of my team XD Then there are very few things I enjoy as much as throwing her mech through a small window with selfdestruct sequence on. And overall I feel like I can give my best with her. Got plenty of POTG while playing as D.va :v 

Junkrat - spamming blindly with grenades and then wondering how the heck did I get that kill XD 

Lucio - just fun character to play for me, not much to say here :v

I don't play the game much anymore, but my absolute main was always Lucio. Even managed to get the achievement The Floor is Lava, before they made assists count. Yeah. Beyond him I liked D.Va, Ana, and Hanzo.

I wish I was a decent healer! Haha.

I tried Mercy a while back and I was absolutely terrible at it. D.Va's ult is really cool - exploding mech!

I can barely kill anyone as Genji too, but I'm pretty decent
