gaming Diablo III Discussion

Since Diablo III is now officially launched in most regions, a discussion thread is necessary. =)

 

So i was up during the midnight launch, server were overloaded as expected. I went to bed, sat the clock at 5.00AM to play some, didn't happen since most were either asleep or played at high level. Woke up at 11.00AM, looked around in D3 a bit and now i'm waiting for some to play again.

 

So what's your experience with D3 so far? =)

I don't know if I get it, never played Diablo2 and normally don't like games with a mmo style fighting system

You are in for a treat, it is not, Technically, Diablo set the standard for it's genre, and is more top down isometric action RPG. No real use of cool down, a lot more quick fire. I suggest looking up some game play footage.

I can't play. Spent $X on a game and can't even play it. Did I mention that I hate Blizzard? Apparently the log-in capacity is full. I spent X hours researching what class I'd play as. I finally decided on the Monk (female of course). I'm really frustrated as I digitally colour my fanart for her, since I can't even play the game. ~

 

 

I dont know if i should get it or not.

I'm getting this game later today, and i'd love to murder some demons with fellow bronies. I will be playing a Demon Hunter as I did in the beta. I just can't get enough of that...van helsingness.

I've done absolutely no research on it, so I can have the same experience I did with diablo 2 (jump in, kill things, worry about build orders later).

 

Anyway, I bought last nigt but had to get home before midnight since I work today, but I'll pick it up today. Also, I have the house to myself this weekend, which means nobody to interrupt me with crazy notions like "you shouldn't stare at a computer screen for 18 hours straight."

 

Only problem is that I'm not entirely sure my laptop can run it

But eh, it wasn't supposed to be able to run New Vegas, either, and it did.

You can play the game completely alone, but it can be more fun with friends.

 

Play it alone for the story, play it with friends for the co-op fun.

Depends on what style of combat you like. I chose the demon hunter because I like non-magic ranged combat.

I chose the magician but I have kinda a hard time at the moment. I don't play many rpgs with mmo fighting style, therefore I was kinda close of dying a few times. I also have to run around a lot to escape enemies. Can somebody tell me the best way to fight and what I should do with all the loot(Iam sorry, I'm really new to Diablo)
