Search has been giving 504 errors occasionally

So, sometimes when I've been searching for topics, I've gotten "Error 504" messages after loading very slowly. Someone said on Discord it may be due to the server work, but even after that, I've still been getting it.

I'll see if I can reproduce it and take a screenshot. What's going on?

I'm experiencing the same issue, though somewhere else. I haven't tried using the search feature. I've tried and it seems to be working- at least for these few tries I gave.

It does happen every time I try to edit the signature, while it has images in it. It was working correctly before the Poniverse's updates.

You've mentioned `error 504`, so it may be related to the same thing... (?)
Screenshot? Give me a second, I'll try to edit my signature...

Does it look like this? :muffins:

Can you define the frequency or which search terms?

Maybe I can help with that. Brb.

Sorry about the garbage quality. Didn't adjust settings. I didn't want to rerecord since I was able to capture two unique issues.

Used the search string that Cloggedone use above visible in the screenshot that failed to return expected results. It was the name of an actual thread in General Discussion.

Then I searched for Best Pony which returned > 500 results.

Finally I specifically created a search string that I suspected would give search angina which resulted in the 504.

Hope that helps.

What Jeric typed in the video.

Basically "what are you listening to" is my search query, since I can never seem to find that thread. I should try some other terms, will post a screenshot/video of my results.

@Jeric that's beyond amazing, thanks mate. It's sure to help a lot.

Things are a bit hectic right now at work, but I'll be sure to investigate before the rest of the team come in tomorrow morning.

Thanks again Jeric, and to you too Cloggedone for sticking with this.

Oh, actually I see the problem now. It's not working well for me either.

I've typed "what are you listening to", which resulted in the error mentioned above.
Then, I tried putting "pony" - It worked, though it took forever to load - probably on a thin border with that error.

I gave it another try and it worked! I found the error I've searched for! :D

It seemed to have worked if I went to the actual search page and made the search. I made two queries - "ponies", and the the thing I was searching before.
