The title says it all. What is your favorite Music Era? You can vote for more than one answer if you like two or more eras the same.

It's not fair man, you made me choose between the 80s and 90s.

Brushing your hair is for people who care and someone who cares is not I, I'll jump off a bridge and then fill up your fridge,
and best pony is Fluttershy.

Why is that not fair? I said you can choose two or more.

Honestly gonna have to say all of them. I love most music types and I tend to really like stuff from each era. Though the kind of metal I'm into is usually is from the last ten years or so I like some metal from past eras but as far as other genres go they range from a bunch of different eras.

Being an obvious metal head, I'd go with the 80's (I don't have enough reason to select 90's as well, despite having SYL and Death in their prime during then). But a lot of progressive bands came out around the 70's and they had probably some of the coolest music I've ever heard.

Good thing the topic isn't called "What is the best Music Era" or else I would've selected 50's to 70's immediately.

The 90's and now. The 90's offered the best in grunge, alt. rock, and nu metal, while modern era has totally revamped recording quality and all music (excluding the crappy pop and hip-hop) has been amazing. In other words, I just love the rock of these days.

1990s because of grunge/alternative, then the pop at the end with NSYNC, Britney, etc.

1980s a close close 2nd, perhaps 1B with 90s.

The 80's, 90's and "now" although I think that should be expanded to the "2000's" and then "now" because while I don't like a lot of the newest stuff, most of my favorite music is early 2000's.

80's/90's, because of all the wicked metal bands that came out.

I'm rather impartial to choosing a favorite era of music since they all had their thing. As much I would like to deny it even the 2000's came up with amazing artist of their own right.

I absolutely love the 80's, but if I honestly had to pick one decade, it would have to be the 90's. Not really because of the mainstream stuff, mind you, (Though as far as mainstream goes... it wasn't all that bad actually.) but mostly the melodic death metal scene that appeared and flourished in that decade. In Flames, At The Gates, Dark Tranquility, Carcass, etc. Brings my mind to its' knees. :P

80s and 90s. Both because there was simply so much more GOOD variety in my opinion. In both decades, I have favorites from many musical genres and styles. Now everything seems so stratified and really good songs are few and far between it seems.
