Trotto - On The Dash (Parody of Toto's On The Run)

A parody I did originally for a now cancelled sequel to Memefields, it's a ponified version of Toto's On The Run as a tribute to Rainbow Dash

(I highly recommend listening to the original by Toto... even though it only exists has a live recording it has the quality of a studio recording)

Sounds like you might have something nifty here... but the sound quality is harsh, dude.

From what I could hear of your lyrics, it sounds pretty cute.

I'll bet with a clearer cut, it'd sound much better... so maybe see about a re-recording?  Not because of your song - because of your equipment.

The song?  Sounds neat to me.  :)

Ok...

First off, your quality needs a ton of work. I don't know what you used but you really need to make sure your audio quality is higher.

Your percussion beat completely staled out. What you need are 8-beat phrases so that way your percussion can standout, with fills and all.

Your vocals need the most work. I think you are focusing on getting the "pop singer" voice too much. Pop singers tend to accent almost all of their syllables, with a mix of airy vocals, almost like Michael Jackson on some of his songs, especially Billie Jean and Thriller. Focus more on enunciating your words and getting a nice air flow.

All in all, this piece could use a total revamp. I'm here if you need me. Don't be discouraged about what I said, shoot me a PM at anytime and I'll be sure to get back to you.

Thanks for the feedback, I might redo this... I got a better synthesizer keyboard that would sound better and i'll probably remove the phaser effect on the vocals which probably effects the audio quality. Thanks for the feedback again.

You’re welcome. Make sure you don’t overload your piece with effects.
