Waplon 14 May 23, 2012 Share May 23, 2012 So I was thinking about the end of season 2 and how RD did a rainboom in a very short time. Well I thought I'd check something out. Now Follow me on this. The first time RD did the rainboom it took her 12 seconds (and some guy on the interwebs calculated that) she'd be going 1635.1 m/s So in the finale it took her 2 seconds meaning she'd be going (roughly) 1962 m/s so in conclusion 12 seconds - 2 seconds = 10 seconds 1635 + 327= 1962 (327 is 20% of 1635) So RD literally got 20% cooler in 10 seconds flat. A Sonic Rainboom happens when the sound barrier is broken, and the sound barrier is broken at the same speed, every time, meaning that she was going the same speed at the end of season 2 as when she first did the Sonic Rainboom, but the time was decreased, meaning that she wasn't going 20% faster, she just got to the speed of sound 20% faster. TL;DR: the only thing that was 20% better was Rainbow's acceleration. EDIT: /)_- I really need to start reading the rest of the posts before I post my opinion. I just totally blew over the fact that this has been said already. Simcity11100 772 July 21, 2012 Share July 21, 2012 I think you mean meters per a second, but that's not the correct speed, all Sonic Rainboom's went the same speed, just different camera angle's which can make it look faster or slower, really the speed is 3402.9 Meter's per a second, which is mach 10's speed, but if we were to multiply it by how many seconds are in a hour it would be 12250440 meter's per a hour, you can check these number's too, speed of sound is 340.29 meter's per a second. even if we did it by mach 5 it would still be faster then your numbers by slightly, because mach is the speed of sound it would be multiplying them by what the number is after it.
