I do find it interesting that both EQG and MLP FiM are now trying out one hour special episodes. I wonder what kind of stories this direction could lead to, I wonder. It is interesting though how many Christmas-related episodes & such that FiM has. Three regular episodes, and now 1-hour special; not including the comics! I have to wonder how that compares with other series. It must be a gift from Santa, I knew he was real But in all seriousness I'm looking forwards to the special, maybe it'll top the other three previous specials that have already aired, as it will be double the length of those normal episodes, it must have a bigger story plot for sure. ShootingStar159 2,157 February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 I’m sure everyone is stunned by this, but I’m hoping it’s about Starlight’s childhood growing up, and why she grew up jaded about the holiday. Spoiler In the leaked episode where she goes home and meets her dad, he says that he ‘knew how hard things were for her when she left home, and he wanted her to feel safe again, like when she was young.’ Him reminding her of that had a pretty serious effect on her, though it isn’t really clear of what kind without more info. It makes me think it was something big, something other than Sunburst leaving that was the final push that set her on her evil path. Considering we don’t see her mother in the leaked episode, not even a photo, I wonder if it has something to do with her.
