movies/tv Any movies that portrays humans as monsters?

Lately, I've been wanting to check out movies that are critical of certain humans, even compared to non-humans(Examples include Avatar 2009, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and the Boxtrolls).  But I know there are still some great films that also showcase a complete monster of a human villain, even compared to other races and/or species.

 

What would you all recommend?

District 9 is like that a lot. Humanity captures an alien race and basically treats them like dirt. I was not into it as much as everyone else, but you may like it.

This might seem and odd selection, but it does fit the category. "The Secret of NIMH". Humans attempting to destroy the hyper intelligent rats they accidentally created and later let escape from the laboratory is a major theme running through the film.

Oh I have that film, and I have watched it when I was a kid.  Still one of my personal favorites to this day.

It's one of my favorite animated films. The sequel, sadly, isn't worth watching.

Pretty much a lot of historical films especially those about the World Wars, Cold War, Civil War or any horrible periods in human history covering topics from colonialism, slavery, religion, conquest, etc. Just look up historical tragedies and events and google them for a movie. It's not hard.

My first thought is Ant Bully but then the kid becomes one of them and a good guy so not really

Bambi comes to mind. When 'Man is in the forest' everything goes south in a hurry.

Serial killers theme movies, "Halloween" ,"friday the 13th", " scream" , "Snowman", "the raven".. ects.

Avatar is the first one I think about. The humans go to this planet and destroy the native alien race's nature and sacred places all to find a precious resource. Eventually the aliens win, but it definitely shows the way that humanity in general destroys nature instead of protecting it.

Edit: Oh I just saw that you listed Avatar in the examples. Nevermind. It is still a good movie though.
