XBOX 360 Banned in the US

-___- I don't even have a 360 yet. I want it for a few games that I can't get even on PC! Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon!

 

As much as I understand in the end this may not stop them at all since they could probably just change the product being used, couldn't they?

No, this isn't the government's doing. From my understanding, it somehow came to Motorola's attention that technology that they held patents for was used without permission by Microsoft (this happens a lot, Microsoft using other peoples' patents without permission). As any major corporation would do, they sued on grounds of theft of intellectual property. Since this is two major corporations, and the technology, if it has in fact been stolen (I'm willing to bet it has), has been used for years now without compensation, it's a rather big case. This gets it a big judge and big coverage.

 

Personally, although it does kinda suck that a major console is under attack, I'm glad someone's finally sticking it to Microsoft. I kinda hope this goes through.

Well...at least I won't be a loser for playing Nintendo if that happens. Yup, looks like I'm not alone on that thought.

 

Copyright law can be one's best friend or worst enemies. I honestly don't know why Motorola is making that lawsuit though...it's not affecting their business in anyway. Well, unless they just want something to brag about. Microsoft will find a way out of this. They're the ones with the most money anyways.

Mainly because Microsoft is a veeeeery rich company and will end up shrugging this off within time.

Even if it were to be banned, games would still be made due to millions of people already owning a 360, so game production for the xbox probably wouldn't stop.

 

Obtaining an xbox without retail shops aren't even that hard so meehhh

I have an xbox but thats gets waaaaay boring to play sometimes. Which is why I spend free time with ponies now. So if it does happen I will either switch to a PS3 or go back to nintendo or to PC.

honestly, the xbox would be getting what it deserves..... PS3 is where it is at for gaming, and I dont like the wii either (Because motion gaming ruined Zelda for me) Retro gaming and the PS3 are the better choices.

If this goes through and I won't be able to play Halo 4 and Borderlands 2 I'll probably Flip and never use a Moterola Product. Plus i use my Xbox to watch Video's also like MLP.
