Should the Mane 6 consult the princesses before they make big decisions?

When I say princess I mean Luna and Celestia.

So why do they never consult them before they make huge decisions?

I am manely talking about the Shadow Play when they just told the Princesses about the book and then proceeded to summon the Pillars back without hearing the Princesses say.

And while the twin sisters are not 100% the rulers their opinion is highly respected and important. And we not o my Shadow Play but many other times as well.

I would suggest consulting the strongest ponies in Equestria before you summon a demon.

I don't think they really need to consult the princesses most of the time. Since Twilight is a princess of her own she can set rules for herself most of the time. Now, let's say that it had to do with something major to Canterlot or likes of that then maybe it would be smart to have them consult the princesses.

This had to do with bringing back historic figures. They didn't realize that the pony of shadows would return with them, as no one else really knew why they disappeared. Only Starlight had suspicions that something bad might happen since she's aware nopony does something for no reason. In the MLP Movie, Twilight did ask about using the powers of the other princesses to put on a spectacular display as it concerned abilities they strictly had control over, and as Celestia's former pupil and student of a school run by said mentor, she did consult her when starting a school of her own. It really depends what's being done. If anything should be done, the act of thinking twice should be done more frequently.

I agree, and had Twilight actually known that restoring the Pillars would have had the effect of also letting loose the Pony of Shadows she would have probably had a different approach. 

Also, can you think of any specific judgement concerns that the other Princesses have shown over the years?
