KillerKingBakudan 702 August 20, 2018 Share August 20, 2018 (edited) Celestia declares a state of emergency, and mandates that all ponies and other citizens stay home between specified hours. She doesn't say what the emergency exactly is, and you don't see anything remotely disastrous going on outside. No monsters terrorizing innocent ponies, no diseases spreading, no harsh weather conditions, nothing. All you know are the punishments that will come to ponies who don't remain indoors. First time offenders will get slapped with a fine: a large sum of bits equal to no less than $1000 in USD. Repeated offenses will result in double the amount for each subsequent fine, and an increase in curfew time for the offenders' household. In addition to all this, Luna will take note of whoever is missing from the dream realm every night. If she can't peer into subjects' dreams because they're awake, they should expect the royal guard to come and investigate. If they have reason to believe that the subjects in question are planning to leave their residence, they'll be authorized to issue a smaller fine AND ransack the place until the funds can be extracted. Any objections to their actions will be considered a direct threat, from which they'll respond with a severe beating. Repeated offenses will result in a beating and prison time. On one morning, you begin to notice an increase of ponies panhandling near business establishments, the town hall and Twilight's castle. Other ponies are walking around with broken bones, bruises and bloodied muzzles; all they can talk about is how the guards broke into their houses, took their money and beat the shit out of them. And other ponies are crying because their friends were apprehended, and they have no idea when they'll be released from prison. Or if they'll be released at all. Do you stay in Equestria and adhere to the curfew, or do you get the hell out of there? Edited August 20, 2018 by KillerKingBakudan 1 No questions asked. Iam 526 August 20, 2018 Share August 20, 2018 (edited) When I was reading the text, thru my images went images like this (but instead people there were ponies), some of them exaggerated, but still: But it's a total regime, like: hey, III Reich, Soviet Union... I don't know what I would do, since I've never been experienced with such bastard things. ================ I deeply believe that this emergency state wouldn't be stated, ponies would make a rebel, since they are very conscious, right? On May 1998, my country was on an unstable state with many riots and such, so if you could leave, leave immediately while you could. Same goes with this one. Equestria is supposed to be a land with peace, something we can't get in our world, so I better leave because there is no reason to stay anymore.

The Kaeya Simp 13,996 August 20, 2018 Share August 20, 2018 (edited) I think I'd probably be forced to leave, but I'd probably not leave the world, I'd probably be forced to leave Equestria for maybe the Hippogriff or Changeling Empires until it's safer to go back to Equestria unless I was high-up in Equestrian Governing (marrying princess or mane 6, oops, sorry, I meant Mane7, etc) then I'd probably be safe and the royal guard would probably give more leeway if you were slightly later than you should have been Edited August 20, 2018 by Sherbert Music-Guard Forced by the fear of the Royal Guard possibly arresting me or beating me in the street or ransack my house and beating me! I probably wouldn't leave at first, I would only leave eventually if I was forced by the fear of being killed by the royal guard
BornAgainBrony 2,398 August 20, 2018 Share August 20, 2018 (edited) With the weird stuff that randomly goes on with magical enemies, I might not assume the worst right away. There MIGHT be a very good reason for it, and thinking back on things I've written I could almost see this actually having happened if I'd written the Princesses as being a bit more aggressive. My second though though would probably be, "Is it really even them? Changelings? Mind control? Curse?" On Earth, it sounds like phase 1 of who knows what kind of transition, but this is Equestria. But even then, no, I wouldn't run. I couldn't abandon the citizens coming under this kind of tyranny and I'd start asking myself if I'd need to fashion the pony equivalent of a Guy Fawkes mask. Subscriber Denim&Venöm 20,481 August 20, 2018 Subscriber Share August 20, 2018 Leave. It'll be up to the ponies if they want change. They'll decide if this fascist regime collapses like Mussolini's or last over a century like the house of Saud. It won't be easy trying to topple rulers of the night/day cycle. First I'd ask Twi to see her stance. If she side's with them then I'll collect my things and take her mirror portal to the EQG verse. Barring that, I'll travel during the day to the nearest foreign power seeking asylum. Cause I doubt any Yaks, Changelings, Dragons, Griffons or Hippogrifs are gonna appreciate being bossed around by a pair of dictators, let alone getting assaulted and arrested.
