I kinda like that this show hasn’t become obsessed with romantic subplots, because that’s ncredibly common elsewhere, but I also think it could provide a fresh change of pace after 7 seasons, so colour me indifferent.

If it happens, cool. If it doesn't happen, cool. It's not like the show itself is completely devoid of romantic themes, what with the Cakes, Maud or Cadence.

Romantic subplots have been done to death everywhere.  MLP is one of the few exceptions. Lets keep it that way.
