More or less to be perfectly honest. I typically have an idea of what I want to happen, but if your paranoia is better than what I had planned I try to mix that in. I've found it keeps interest high when the player thinks they're great at guessing.

No idea where the changeling part is going, as it were honestly just a sort of fun little atmospheric thing, but hey, we have it now. We'll see where it goes. :) Lemme know if what I wrote didn't make sense. Just figured it would explain things of the top of my head.

Looking forward to seeing ehat your plans are with the leadership here. Something tells me there's more to Epsilon than what I have been shown thus far. *excited*

If I've planned anything about this arc, it's how it's going to end. I've got no idea how we're going to get there, but that's a whole other issue.

Twists and turns are my master plan, because a straight path is boring.

Okay, the stuff with Toupé... Dude, that's Brutal. :sunny: Poor thing.

Buuuut. It does tie in well with something eventually. Rather soon too, in fact. But I'm not gonna spoil that. Can't say if you planned this or not, but if not, this will turn out interesting. :)

Planned? Hardly. I don't plan most of this. The next thing I have planned is the scene when Null finally meets with Grey Mane.

I had planned for Toupé to be a pegasus, there's a fanon that Pinkie's grandmother was secretly a pegasus, so she has a small amount of pegasus in her genes, which came forward in Toupé.

I may try and push things a little, since I am interested in what happens the next day, due to the visitor. Thinking it could be somewhat tumultuous. :3

Though, wanted to say that perhaps he shouldn't run into Void first, or at least not alone, since then it'd be pretty one sided. So... What does Vale usually do in the early hours of the day? Just weighing options. :)1619806465565.jpg

And while I remember it, updated photo of Molotov here. Along with his olden one.

BGqWJe6.png

It's been some years. In that time, he's been able to sort the wings properly, gotten cleaned up, and as he have come on to visit someone, he'd cleaned himself up some, so no soot spots or unkempt, darkened-by-soot mane or tail either. The eye have a story to it, but I'll leave that to the story itself.

Figured it were about time I put in a reference, to sort things before the meeting occurred, in case there were details you wanted to get sorted in advance.

Vale doesn't sleep much, her time as Codex having taught her how to get a full night's rest in only a few hours, and her mechanical components not needing much rest at all. In the morning she does what she can to gather materials to teach the foals with, prepare lessons for them, and do maintenance on her mechanical components. She's alert to anyone approaching or attempting to enter the building where the foals are as she lives in the room directly above them and as such has a window that overlooks the doorway and the street, so she can see anyone coming.

The big stallion is indeed meant to be Illiad. He's the one raising the sun, so for an Equestrian, and Celestia Loyalist like Molotov, that makes Illiad the biggest fish in the area. No worries, they don't come with ill intent.

...Let me rephrase that: Molotov doesn't come with ill intent. His friend isn't on the same page, though she's not dumb enough to attack an alicorn. Just saying that she hasn't exactly looked upon the locals so much as nice folks to be around. More gazed upon them with the mindset of them all being prey, and thinking in the lines of how best to hunt them all, if she had reason for it.

You'll understand more eventually. :)

Also, a question before my inevitable response: Is Vale openly showing her machine parts? Just cause Molotov is an engineer sort, and his response to seeing her, will be different depending on if Vale looks just like a regular deer, or if she's open with her metallic implements, and have them visible.

Not to the extent she was earlier,

When Null first met her, her two mechanical legs and the mechanical half of her face was exposed, since getting integrated with society she's gotten enough false fur to cover up almost all of the exposed machinery, at this point all that's exposed is her obviously mechanical eye, and the two minostralium plates on the top of her head, situated about where she would have antlers if she were a buck or a reindeer.

He'd definitely take note of that. The eye especially though. I won't say what will happen in advance, but considering the way I have Molotov as a character, he can sometimes be a little... Obnoxious. Feel free to slap him around a little now and again if he goes out of line. He'll mostly agree that he deserved it. :)

@Illiad Easle

I hope I conveyed how the two of them are. Molotov is essentially a good, intelligent pony. Unfortunately though, his muzzle sometimes works independantly of his brain, and he can be a bit... Obnoxious. Usually he's in agreement that he deserves it if others sets their boundaries, and for example slaps him. His hindsight ain't bad. And yes, it's mostly females that smacks him, historically. Among other things.

Ashclaw is a predator. It'll be more evident why eventually, though I have set some clues out here and there. She sees everyone around her as prey, and it's generally very hard to impress her. She sees nothing but top predators as somewhat worth her time, or if they're good, somewhat equal, and only one being at all as her superior. You'll need brain and brawn to get her approval. She's normally be able to act well enough around the "lesser prey animals" though. Long as you ignore how she's acting like she's thinking about how you'd taste. Which she does at times, and she have... Experience.

If you need karma values, Molotov doesn't have much in the way of weight. He's been a helper where he comes from, and overall doesn't really have people feel grudges against him. Beyond how he's kinda obnoxious, though he have been around someone with a rather heavy karmic debt. It seems you have chars able to see that, and we're talking big time. The sort that might take centuries to work off. I'll give details if/when you want them.

Ashclaw is uh... Well, she's not clean, and she's in contact with the same one Molotov have been around, but she's overall not the worst. Surprisingly, she doesn't have that many kills to her name. Violence for sure though, but we're talking less than half a dozen lives taken. None of them sadistic or heinous in nature. Just simple, no nosense kills.

Again, I can add more details there if need be, when/if you need it.

We'll, we're off to a rocky start, and I can pretty much guarantee that it's probably not going to get better in the short term. xD

Sorry for the spelling errors too. Wrote it on the phone, and it's harder than using a keyboard.

A couple of things here: Will elaborate more on Molotov's place in the grand scheme of Celestia's scientist organisation soon enough, but far as he knows, he have never made something used to hurt others seriously with before, and he have never been out hunting for regular innocents. That being said, he's not been let in on everything going on, and some of the things he scraped as being too dangerous ideas, or seemingly rejected, he isn't aware of having gotten used beyond that. Far as he knows, he, and the others he worked with, have only made things for the betterment of Equestria. To what extend, he wasn't let in on. Best not to risk him going against the grand plan, by making him chose between morals and loyalty. Simpler to just mislead. So you're gonna end up having fun bashing him for things he haven't the faintest clue about later. Gonna be a fun lil' ride. :)

As for the big bad I referred to, that one have nothing to do with Equestria's science scene... More or less. But we'll cover that in due time. :)

@Illiad Easle

Response will come tomorrow, but the post may cause some issues with things you have written, so a fair warning there.

Ashclaw won't move away from the first dart, is the first one. If it can be dodged, so too can it be bashed away, or caught, and the way it's written thus far, she's been given ample time to prepare for something, with the way that Vale reacted. She'd know there would come something her way. She wouldn't move until she were made to, as this would be a contest of skill and willpower in her mind, and if she bend away, it'd be the same as showing that she feared her prey. She's too prideful for that.

I were planning to have her moved though, but by Molotov. He wouldn't much care for the contest, and would assume the darts were filled with some sort of poison, so he'd push her aside. She wouldn't expect him to dare interrupting her, so this would move her, and likely get Molotov hit in her stead. Which won't make her too emotional, as it isn't like she likes him. Though she'll not exactly get nicer, if it looks like something potentially lethal.

She might also elect to use him as a shield, as his mechanical wings can provide some cover.

Alternatively, he could also just willing go in front after the first shot, wings spread, and try to keep the two of them separated. which likely wouldn't work, but there's a reason I had Void enter relatively soon, as to avoid a full on fight fest. But I feel this is a point where we have to chatter a bit about the events as it unfolds, as there are some difference between how I've prepared Ashclaw, and how she's perceived. I can't have her be that easily taken out, and give in to simple *I'll go slash your face now* instinct, without going against her character. Not saying she couldn't get hurt, for example by the one muting her though. It'd show that the doe had some things at her disposal, but wouldn't make her think better of her for that reason. Poisons are a cowards weapon, in her eyes.

Ashclaw is a predator. She knows hunting well, and keeps herself in check. Slapping Molotov is sort of a guilty pleasure, that served mostly to get him on track, whilst her chat towards Vale, were not just born out of annoyance at her assumption that she'd care for the opinion of a doe. She wanted to see if there were any spine to the doe, and would wait to see how she reacted. Plus, as Molotov said, she has her orders to not make a scene. Even if she have desires to harm Vale, the order comes first, and she won't succumb to primal instinct, over obeying that order. She won't fight back. She will stand her ground, and prove her point like that. She won't strike unless Vale is the one pushing into her, and she'd aim to knock the doe away.

I get the point in the field you mention. Getting hit isn't in the cards for Vale, but there's no mention that it also means she can shoot past all sorts of defenses. Great defensively, and to aim right, but it ain't like the darts are written as hitting with the speed of light - dodging would be impossible in the first place then - so they can be reacted to.

Not saying Ashclaw would dominate this fight either. She neither will, nor - as you have set it forth - can, hit Vale. Yet at the same time, she's not just gonna let herself be hit either. Best way to fight her, is to get her emotional enough to become unfocused on what is in front of her, and Vale doesn't know her enough to be aware what would do the trick there. Taunts about her being a bad hunter, will get her some dirty looks, but not much in the way of a physical retaliation act. Some curse words perhaps though.

...I dunno, is this making sense? Feels like I'm rambling. Been a long day. :)

@Blitz Boom

Sounds good, Ashclaw has quite the level of restraint, one that Vale would not have anticipated.

Where it pertains to getting hit, it isn't that Vale can't get hit, it's that she can dodge most hits and deflect/redirect the hits she can't dodge, hence why she was still injured at the end of the path I set out, there wasn't a path where she got out of fighting Ashclaw unscathed.

Molotov or Void entering the fray would cross the path and cause it to fork, so we can just say that what I put is the path that Vale saw and started down, and would nonetheless guide her actions if possible.
