Nope. Haven't watched since high school. Literally. We watched it in psychology class. Inmates ran the asylum and the teacher didn't care so we watched whatever was on. We watched Freddy vs. Jason. We watched Cool Runnings. And we watched The Price is Right more often than not.

No. I haven't watched that show in probably a decade or so. I never watched it on my tv but my great aunt would have it on. I watched a few with her while visiting.

I don't watch any game shows whatsoever these days, I basically despise the idea of watching a show where other people win stuff. It isn't appealing to me anymore. However, I do have a lot of memories of watching the Price is Right specifically, when I was little. I remember my grandma watching it a lot and I would watch it too, I was always fascinated by it back then, being young and simple minded. I always liked the big wheel a lot too, don't know why. :P

The only game show I can stand for more than half an hour anymore is Jeopardy, because at least this show isn't corrupted with mechanical design choices that would immediately make me (being that I'm sort of into game design as a whole) immediately flip over a table trying to understand how anyone thought it would be a good idea. There used to be shows like Catch 21 that actually had a lot of strategy behind them. Now most game shows that still air either have point systems that are a total joke (Family Feud, though the show has a way of ending up landing in the "so bad it's good" category due to how funny it can get), or are brainless and complete and utterly based on RNG mechanics (Wheel of Fortune)...

As for Jeopardy, though, I really can get behind a lot of the strategizing that actually goes into the game itself. I can actually appreciate the design of the Daily Double, because it encourages players to think how much they'll wager that they'll be able to answer a specific question right. I can also appreciate a similar thing about Final Jeopardy. Though I can deduct some points for it in the sense that the categories are picked pretty much randomly, so luck plays a factor in what you can actually expect to get right...

I almost never watch game shows, and when I do, I prefer watching vintage ones from the '50s through the '70s. So I'll take the early '70s Bob Barker era of Price Is Right if anything.

There was a adapted version of this here when I was very young ( < 10 years). Back then I watched occasionally with my mother.

At my old job the older women I worked with used to put it on the tv in the cafeteria everyday
