Buttons and Bows, how horrible! She was known for the voice of Minnie Mouse, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby from the 1987 DuckTales, Baby Gonzo from Jim Henson's Muppet Babies, and also the voice of Martin Prince and Sherri and Terri from The Simpsons. I imagine that like Edna K., Groening will choose to discontinue those characters, and the bullying meant for Martin would be sent to Milhouse and Bart! But Minnie Mouse and the Nephews will need a new voice to replace her, especially in the Mickey Mouse Shorts and Mickey and the Roadster Racers. I might imagine that Daniel Ross could voice the Nephews in mainstream media, unless Tony Anselmo takes up those roles again.

But I would like to see Cindy Robinson voice Minnie to make that meme of Amy sounding like Minnie come to life! Plus, she'd be reunited with fellow Sonic Boom Alumni Nika Futterman (Sticks on Sonic Boom, Cuckoo Loca on Roadster Racers).

Just found that out from YoshiAngemon.  ANd that's a little more than 10 years after Wayne Allwine died. :(

RIP Mickey and Minnie. KsWSlK4.png

She's with Wayne again. Wonder who will voice Minnie now?

  1. That's good. :kindness:
  2. I'm sure that Disney is going to start auditioning soon if they don't already have someone ready to take over.

Only Frank Welker and Tony Anselmo are still alive. And Tony STILL voices Donald Duck for the Reboot, and we STILL find his voice unintelligible!

I know that Tony Anselmo (Donald Duck) is in the DuckTales reboot.

Terry McGovern (The voice of Launchpad) is still alive.

Well, it might be funny if Cindy Robinson, voice of Amy Rose, were to step up to the mantle, and be the official voice of Minnie, due to her sounding Minnie-like in her early days as Amy. Plus, she'd be reunited with Nika Futterman, voice of Cuckoo-Loca on Mickey and the Roadster Racers.

Aw, that's sad. I just hope whoever can take over being the voices of her characters can continue the legacy of Minnie's VA, even those who voiced Minnie before Russi Taylor. She was just as well known as Wayne Allwine.

I especially loved her hard work as Minnie's voice in House of Mouse, where Minnie is usually the one taking care of the Backstage stuff and assuring Mickey when he would feel nervous.

Wait, Bill Farmer, Goofy's VA is still alive. And has been doing his voice since 1987

I'm surprised no one mentioned how Russi was also the voice of Cupcake, Rosedust and Morning Glory in G1 MLP.

R.I.P Russi Taylor <3 You will forever be missed

That's because she was more well-known as Minnie and Huey, Dewey and Louie.

I may not have been a Disney kid growing up or watch much of G1. But I can respect someone who's devoted that much of their craft and showed so much passion for their work.

May her legacy live on.

Damn. Martin Prince and the two sisters Sherri and Terri. I don’t know if the Simpsons is still running, but they’ll be hard pressed to find new voices for them.

We’ll miss you, Russi

I found out about this several hours ago, and I have to say that I was surprised to learn that she had passed away. I suspect that Russi Taylor anticipated this would happen so she might have trained a successor to Minnie Mouse at the very least to continue on.

Now, only four of them remain.

Oh, the Simpsons is still running, and they already established Ned Flanders as the new 4th Grade Teacher for Bart, as of "Left Behind." I imagine that like with Edna K, they'll retire the three characters due to the voice actress having died. They did it before with Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure, when Phil Hartman Died.

Phil Hartman’s death was a tragedy. Marcia Wallace and Russi Taylor were just old, but I feel Martin and the twin sisters will still be showing up to class. Maybe they just won’t have voices anymore

Thank you, Russi Taylor. Like so many great vocal artists, including your own husband, your work will carry on and brighten the lives of countless fans. You’ll be missed, but your work stays with us. God bless you.
