It appears that jazz musician Jack Sheldon, who had played the trumpet on award winning song “The Shadow of your Smile,” passed away last Friday of natural causes. The news was withheld until just yesterday. Sheldon had served in the US Air Force and is also credited for vocals in some Schoolhouse Rock cartoons such as Them Not So Dry Bones, Rufus Xavier Sasparilla, I’m Just a Bill, and everyone’s favorite which I have posted below, Conjunction Junction

He is survived by his longtime partner and two children

I never knew that guy's name but his voice in Schoolhouse Rock helped me through many a grade school test.

He will be missed

:(

It’s weird because I only knew him for a relatively minor thing he did compared to jazz music from the 1950’s. I used to sing along with Conjunction Junction with friends in English class
