general Is Human X Furry and Human X Pony is Xenophilia or Bestiality?

This one confuses the hell out of me really. I mean, I have a great fanfic universe in my head(I daydream a lot) where Humans from the Star Wars universe(though I incorporated unique things of my own along from other franchises like Destiny) are able to traverse to another universe via stargates where Equestrian sapient creatures in their planet called Eques while another race that consists of two sub-groups; Furrys or anthropomorphic real life animals(Beastars because, hey, why not?) and mystical creatures like Elves, anthro-dragons and etc(Mysticians) called Mobians live in their own planet called Mobius(took it from archie comics of Sonic the Hedgehog). Now, as I understand it, bestiality is basically a relationship between a human and a non-human animal, but since humans are actually animals themselves, so is it accurate for me to say that bestiality/zoophilia is basically sexual relationship and/or activity between a sapient species and a non-sapient one, and the reason why is it called as such is because the non-sapient animal could not be able to concent and so forth, right? So, relationships between say humans and ponies/mobians are not bestiality but rather as Xenophilia similar to relations between different human groups(race, nationalisites and etc) and sapient aliens like in the Mass Effect franchise with say Shepard with alien companions that he/she can date since both mobians and ponies(along with other sapient creatures of equestria) are sapient?

In my own fictional universe, humans can interbreed with mobians and ponies, and the offspring of such relationships take the species of either their human or their furry/pony parent which is a 50/50 chance. I got that from the One Piece universe between fishmen and merfolk where the child is born as either race or species based on chance similar to gender rather than producing hybrid. The science behind this is because when the two sets of genes from either parents mix, one set of genes "assimilates" from say human to pony/mobian and vice versa by the other set of genes which determines the child's species even though the child is 50% genetically similar to either parent like with human parents with their children in real life.

idk man. whenever sex is involved in the formula one has to ask if it's actually for the story and to make a commentary on some social issue, relationship, something of cultural significance, or if it's just a really elaborate excuse to try to justify a fetish.

Either way, there's fetishes for everything, the only actual rule is not to do it in RL and don't go too far on them.

I know..I just feel worried about these things, you know? From other people I mean. Well, I do love romance between say humans and non-humans, but not with non-sapient animals obviously but rather say aliens and etc, you know?

people will comment about it and take it however they interpret it regardless. That's what happens when you put any kind of content to the public to see, you die as an author in that moment. But there's pretty much no other way if you want to share whatever you have to say.

I see. Well, I just wanted opinion if it's wrong of me to day dream in such a fictional universe and scenarios in the first place say between humans and the sapient ponies of Equestria or the Mobians here for example.

If the species isn't sentient, it's considered beastiality. If the species is sentient it's considered xenophilia.

Most fantasy and sci-fi media seem to get around these by only having or showing couples between humanoids or hominids. For example, most life in Star Trek was seeded by an earlier civilization which is why sentient lifeforms of prominence were always so "human" in appearance no matter how they evolved, or the Twileks from Star Wars were originally people genetically altered I think to serve as slaves. And then you get elves and dwarves sometimes being related as well so usually the line of xenophilia is being skated on rather than fully crossed.

For those who don't immediately view xenophilia in the same light as beastiality, they tend to shift the further a species strays from being human.

Sure, but Mass Effect for example don't have such explanation and so on, and the relationship is simply between your main character, Shepard, and whatever alien companion you feel like to have romance with besides some. I mean..aren't say beasts for example are basically non-sapient animals while we humans aren't because we're sapient thus we can consent which real life animals couldn't, right?

So, all in all, it's fine to have such inter-species relationships for as long as they're sentient in fiction, correct?

An fine example of Furry Confusion

As for me I agree that if they have human intelligence and sentient, it's not really bestiality. Beside at the end of the day all of this is just fictional fantasy. So the rules of reality don't really apply

Yeah I agree. It is 100% wrong in my view. Furry stuff (regardless of its content) to me is not something I like at all and its something I cringe so hard at.

People are...weird.

i mean, everything and everyone is weird. All the fetishes, every single one of them. The highschool girl, feet fetish, leopard suits, poop, various types of fruits, people stuck in bottles that end in the hospital with various ridiculous excuses, latex, etc and beyond. It's just one among what people normally hide. And if it's just a story there's nothing really bad about it. better than actually doing it. It's fantasy.

Not to go there or anything, but a lot of those if I find out someone is into them I just block and never talk to them again. I have plenty of limits. As every human being, I have my interests, but I am definitely aware of what I consider weird and I purposefully avoid overly weird things and people. Furries / pony x human stuff is definitely one of my extreme limits. I never hang around people like that. Ever.

that's valid, but don't kinkshame. people are weirder and more terrible than they let see and that's normal, they just don't say it in real life but you'll be surprised what people don't say and do. As long as they don't act on it and have a healthier outlet that hurts no one.

Bestiality.

Despite the implication of pony's sentient thought and human-like behaviour, they are still animals. Same goes for those ugly hairy creatures. We aren't talking humans falling for blue skinned, dark eyed, hairless super intelligent aliens, but actual animals based on creatures known by humans being banged by humans. Literally animals with some human traits.

If they are sapient, intelligent and can give consent, then it's xenophillia. Doesn't matter if it's a Klingon, a Minbari, a Turian, a Dwarf, Mewtwo or a Pony. If they are shown to have mental faculties and personalities comparable to humans, then it's Kosher.

Next you're gonna tell me that relations with a vampire is considered necrophilia.

You can feel however you want about this, and you can choose who you want to associate with or not, but at the end of the day people being weird and having fantasies/thoughts is not a crime, as long as they do not act on them with real life animals.

If the creature is a sentient being, has equal or more intelligence than a human, and capable of communication, it’s xenophilia.

If the creature is not a sentient being or incapable of making sexual decisions about themselves, incapable to communicate, it’s bestality or pedophilia (or both).

I think the difference comes from the mind of the subjects. If it thinks like a human or something equivalent to that or even higher, it’s xenophilia. Beastality is like a man f***ing a sheep or something like that.

If you are f***ing a pony, that’s beastality. But if it’s like the ponies from the show, it might be considered as xenophilia.

Aren't we all? It's as if being a brony isn't weird to the rest of society as a whole, rofl. And besides all that, it's all fictional..fantasy in our own imagination. I don't have any sexual feelings towards real life animals.

Agreed, esp fictional ones, rofl.

for god's sake, they're fictional creatures. No, they're not. And besides all that, we humans are animals as well, so I don't get this idea of us being so different from animals besides being sapient which is why bestiality is not right due on the fact that non-human animals don't have the mental capacity to consent and etc. In the evolutionary perspective, we're apes, primates, mammals and etc, and we belong to the kingdom, Animalia, like other animals.

Thanks for clarification, rofl. Yeah, people don't seem to understand that..well, humans are animals as well, and the reason why bestiality is wrong is the same reason why pedophilia is wrong; both non-human animals and children can not able to consent whatsoever, so it's quite obvious by now that it can never be mutual whatsoever. Equestrian ponies are not real except in our own imagination and fantasies, and they're sapient which are obviously have nothing to do with our real life animals and so on. Sad to read that some people here propagate the same kind of hate against bronies and etc really from "normies" since they too dislike bronies as a whole for being degenerates in forums like Kiwi Farms and etc.

I do love animals, but obviously not in a sexual or romantic kind of way, but rather in a similar reasoning why people find say dogs cute and adorable, and they want to care for them which is why I'm a vegetarian, against climate change and etc. Somewhat of a hippie, yeah, but..I'm happy.

@Kamal900 As far as US Law is concerned currently, if it's sentient, you can go for it

Spoiler

However I'm unaware of there being an agreed upon definition for legal sentience so only humans and maybe one day robots if we go that far are on the table.

People are free to pair things up however they want in fiction for the most part, though I am personally against interspecies relationships. :yeahno:

For as long as it is sentient AND fictional, rofl.

I understand, and it's fine really. Everyone can have their own taste in fiction and etc. People should not conflate fictional 2D(or 3D characters) with real people or creatures.
