general Do you feel bad when people forget your birthday?

I feel relieved.  I don't like celebrating my birthday.  I don't really like celebrating holidays in general.  I don't care for gift giving, nor decorating, nor parties, nor cooking big meals, nor doing basically anything that requires planning or clean-up.  Yeah, I know--I'm a real barrel of laughs.

I definitely am depressed if that happens as feeling forgotten isn't exactly an uplifting thing, but then I come to my senses and realize shortly after that my birthday isn't exactly worth celebrating so the shrugs commence.

It can hurt, I will say that.

I don't even remember my birthday sometimes. The only one who always does is my husband so I don't really care if someone who knows it forgets. I don't think I've done anything for my birthday in like 20 years anyway.
