PCutter 127 April 24, 2021 Share April 24, 2021 (edited) Whether it means caring about your physical/mental/emotional health in "normal" times or otherwise, or protecting yourself from COVID. I'm just as tired of looking everywhere and seeing everyone throw caution to the wind and abandoning all common sense just to for idiotic short-term satisfaction. I'm tired of being infuriated about the YOLO attitude being thrown around everywhere, even during legitimately pressing times where NOTHING is funny and NOTHING is a game. I'm tired of being outraged that everyone rejects possible or guaranteed means of defeating the virus or your personal maladies for whatever reason. But it's as you all say: my words and thoughts about the matter don't mean jack sh*t. I don't have a right to be a participating element in the whole thing because I shouldn't even be the final word on people's well-being. Fluttershyfan94 5,742 April 24, 2021 Share April 24, 2021 Nothing is more important then your health, it is why I have a healthy diet and exercise vigorously. So yes I care about my mental and physical health. I do not do drugs neither do I drink alcohol or use nicotine. Life simply is not worth living unless you are in good health, everyone knows this yet they don't take care of their health then are surprised to find themselves doing nothing as they have neither the health or ability to do it. Exercise vigorously for this will reward you long term, the key to health is exercise and good diet everyone knows this yet so few actually do it I wonder why that is. Perhaps as it requires commitment and discipline to achieve it. Lucky Bolt 35,085 April 24, 2021 Share April 24, 2021 Of course I do. Although lately stress and depression has had me drinking more (as in alcohol) and eating less, which I know is not good in the slightest. Usually though....I do my best to eat and drink decently healthy. ☆ My socials ☆
Narcissus 355 April 25, 2021 Share April 25, 2021 I'm always conscious of my health and always working hard to take good care of it. I work out regularly and keep my mind active. If everything isn't working at top capacity i feel like I'm not being efficient and that makes me unhappy. Better to be actively healthy then casually unhealthy. No one wants to feel like a badly tuned machine.
EpicEnergy 23,224 April 25, 2021 Share April 25, 2021 Maybe, but I'm not really sure. Sometimes I do things that are good and healthy for me and sometimes I do the exact opposite. 1 *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Dreambiscuit 10,094 April 29, 2021 Share April 29, 2021 I always take care of my health. I don’t enjoy being sick and I’ve been a germophobe for a long time. As far as covid I take reasonable precautions the exact same way I would with the flu or any of countless thousands of other maladies out there. I don’t treat it as more ‘special’ just because so many others do, while ignoring many equally dangerous and less-publicized conditions circulating around. But according to my all-encompassing defensive nature I probably take more precautions than most, even though that means the same routine I’ve always had. SparklingSquirrels 21,354 April 30, 2021 Share April 30, 2021 Yeah I’d say so. I try to eat healthy and I exercise often (well mostly just my walk to/from work... I want to get back into swimming soon). Never cared so much about being very Covid-cautious just because of my specific circumstances making other things worse, but I got my vaccine a long while ago so it doesn’t matter much anymore. ֍֎֍֎
KatonRyu 1,033 May 3, 2021 Share May 3, 2021 Partially. I eat relatively healthy and work out a lot. The Covid thing...I only follow the rules because I have to. I don't think that each and every measure is warranted, and I can't wait for those measures to be gone. I also don't really care if other people follow the rules. I just do it out of the vain hope it will speed things up a bit.

So do I, I just don't think I'd die even if I did get it. Again, I am following the rules, since I know that some people would actually be at risk and I have no desire of infecting anyone. There are many diseases I fear, but this isn't one of them.
Early Sunsets 2,107 May 4, 2021 Share May 4, 2021 Eh. I try, but I'm also lazy, so it's a bit difficult. My job forces me to get exercise, so that's good. I don't eat (too much) junk and very rarely drink soda, so that's also good. However, I don't eat much vegetables, and I get a LOT of sodium since about half the food I eat is processed. I think I'm getting around 150% the daily value right now? I don't think I can get it appreciably lower without either spending a fuck ton on low sodium options, or cooking every meal, neither of which I'm willing to do. I'm also a fair bit underweight (by about fifteen pounds), and trust me, no amount of eating or exercising or supplements or combination of the three can change that. I've been trying since 2018. There's one last workout / training thing I'm willing to try, but if that doesn't work, I'm just gonna give up and accept that fact that I'll look like Jack Skellington forever. On the covid side of things, I tried to stay as far away from people as I could before the virus even hit, so that much isn't hard for me. Wearing a mask isn't much of an inconvenience, and honestly I don't mind hiding behind a mask (I'm pretty shy in-person), so I usually wear one of those, too (unless I'm at work. It's fast-paced and very physically demanding. If I wear a mask, I WILL pass out. It almost happened to me a few times). Other than that, it's life as usual. Astralshy 27,298 June 5, 2021 Share June 5, 2021 Yes, I care for my health. I try to consume healthy food, always try to cook the food myself (when I've got the time), I try to have at least 8h of sleep every day etc. During this pandemic I follow the safety rules as good as I can. Overall I'd think I try to live healthy. I also don't like if people use the YOLO attitude to justify everything they do on the other hand even I sometimes just drink a glass of Pepsi of tea. So I'm not perfect with a healthy life style, but I think it's okay to have such things once in a while. After all it's the dose that makes the poison.

Phosphor 11,532 June 6, 2021 Share June 6, 2021 I do now that I've found a good doctor. I'm on 4 different medications and he recommended I do intermittent fasting and keto to lose some weight and get off all the meds. Much better than my old doctor that just prescribed pills with very little explanation. Always get a second opinion Just started doing the 16/8 fast about a week ago and seem to be adjusting nicely. I'm also starting to ease into keto as it can be difficult at first. Also walk just over a mile every evening. I can do this!
ExplosionMare 18,085 June 6, 2021 Share June 6, 2021 Sometimes I don’t, but I usually feel guilty enough if I don’t eat or eat too unhealthily that I’ll try and regulate myself. Same with exercise, I don’t like sitting around forever. 2 Boom!
