Let's post here 700 more times.

 

lol okay Spammy McSpammerton. It might take more than 700 posts because whenever we get close to a milestone, the cache is cleared or something else is done to take the total down a bit so I end up looking like a fool by posting the milestone too early lol.

What I find funny is that if everybody except Finest stopped posting right now, we'd still hit 500,000 today :)

Actually with the new recent post bar on the side, we might be able to pinpoint which post is #500,000. It will take fortunate timing and multiple eyes.

Actually... I tried refreshing the page over and over again, the recent posts changed, yet the Total Posts remain the same :/

When you quote a post, it tells to the number. It doesn't come up in the quote bar, but you can see it in the board code. Quote a post and see for yourself.

 

 

This quote is merely to demonstrate this.

 

 

Unfortunately, it seems to count normally non-counted posts, since it's already over 510,000 :/

You can also see the post ID number by looking at the direct URL to a post. ;)

 

Every post gets a unique ID number assigned to it that is never reused. We must've had over 10,000 deleted posts by now, so that explains what you're seeing there.
