Magloria would proceed to search the room quietly, looking to Frostbite. "There's nothing here. What a shame..." she rolled her eyes. "The filth can't be far from here." she muttered, referring to Chrysalis.

The room was indeed unassuming and bland. The only thing that would stand out to Magloria is a bowl describing the content of 10 pieces of candy for each guest it expected to arrive that they could have shared but the bowl was empty despite the sign that said "take only one, please." 

In fact, many items around the room seemed to be missing despite looking like they should be there.

After listening to the tree's response, Tree Song searched the area around its trunk. As the tree said, there were three gems hidden there. She picked them up, and caught up with the rest of the group, examining the cottage.

"The tree has given us these lucky gems as a thank you gift for helping it. This one is for you, @Sophie H.." Tree Song gave her the yellow gem. "And this is for you, @Reality Check" Reality got a teal gem. "And I've got the purple one." She showed her gem for everypony to see. "The tree said you should keep them close."

Realizing her mistake, Cali reaches a hoof up over the table in an attempt to take the bowl and put it in her bag.

Satisfied that everyone seemed to be alright, Gust made his way to the cottage with Ana, arriving just in time to see Frostbite bust the door down. "I have no idea who those two are," he whispered to her, gesturing toward Frostbite and Magloria, "but something tells me they can handle whatever's in there. If you can keep the area out here lit up, I'll keep watch while they're taking care of that." Gust flew up onto the cottage's roof, keeping an eye on their surroundings, at least as far as he could see into the darkness.

Magloria saw the filly grab the candy, and she would look under the table and see the filly. She was perplexed, but would grab a piece of candy - looking at it strangely. She'd look back under the table at the filly, not sure what to say.

Cali looks to Magnolia, then to the bowl, then to Magnolia, then  realizing she missed a piece, she lunges forward toward the candy in magnolia's hood hoof. "Give it back!"

"A lucky gem?" Sophie tilts her head in confused as she stares at the gem for a moment "N'aw.. how nice of that tree! Well.. He.. or she.. does tree have genders?" Sophie asks, gazing over at Tree song with a slow blink "Anywho! I would love to play some songs again for the tree! but please tell tree that it should be less aggressive next time.. ponies don't like it when they get played with like a doll" Sophie explains with a proud nod.

Sophie's gaze moves towards the open door, she'd spot the filly and with a soft gasp she would walk around Magloria "Oh no" she whispers "Hey there little one" she says as soft as possible "d-did we scare you? I..I'm really sorry.. we're just lost and scared.." Sophie explains "just like you.. we don't want to harm you.. " and with that, sophie puts on a warm smile.

From where he was inspecting the furniture, Frostbite looked down his nose at the foal @Sycofear13, taking stock of her messy mane and coat. "Their house?" he repeated derisively, eyes flicking over to the pale-furred pony @Sophie H. who'd spoken. "As if. That's a foal. There's no way it owns this house, let alone this candy."

He stomped closer to the foal. "Hey, you. Candy rots your brain, you know."

Outside, Chrysalis suddenly appears once more, just as smug and proud as the first time, cackling.

"Ooooh how CUTE! You think your SILLY little victory with a pathetic tree is something to brag about? Collect your little shinies like the wimpy magpies that you are. They mean NOTHING!"

Her giggling here was obnoxiously complacent before she'd proceed.

"As it turns out, one of you has SHATTERED the basic rules of friendship with your AVARICE! Unleashing the power of my CURSE upon you -- Wuahahahahahahaha!"

And with that absolute mocking grin, she would disappear once more.

A cloud of smoke would immerse them as now changlings would begin to surround them from all over with taunting grins. The feeling of fearful doubt and distrust was a heavy presence upon you. But you had to do something to fight them...

One of the Changlings focuses on @Stone Cold Steve Jobsand buzzes forward as if to deliver a first strike. 

The other would soon swarm around the cottage and tree as if to feed off of its improving health.

"What if she does?" Sophie lifts a brow at Frostbite, rolling her eyes as he tells the filly that Candy rots her brain.

The voice of that cheese pony kinda annoys Sophie now "Gosh.. no wonder you've no friends!" Sophie yells just before that green cheese disappears again.

Magloria ignores the pouting of Sophie and Cali and looks at the candy - and spins it over in her magic. Her magic envelops the candy and transforms it into pure ice. Then she eats it, looking at them. "Hence why I never eat it. And neither should you." she looks to the two of them and shrugs, looking at the candies. "Whats a foal doing here, anyway?" she asked, looking at Cali.

Cali briefly stares at Magloria with squinting eyes as she eats the candy, but as she asks her question she stops squinting, and steps in front of the table, sweating a little "Nothing."

"Get back here, changeling!" Frostbite leaps into the fray, axe drawn, but Chrysalis is gone; he swings hard at the closest changeling about to pounce on @Stone Cold Steve Jobs, but more quickly take its place.

One of the Changelings would peek through the window, quite proud to see that there was bickering between the three. Lovely chaos. 
Four of them would lift up the door that was broken down and seemingly try to fix it. But as they did so, another little filly would approach from their hiding spot. This filly would walk over to @Sycofear13and whisper something in their ear.

Two angry Changlings would swoop from behind Frostbite, one of them taking the form of the pony he first had a loss at a spar in. A particularly humiliating one. "Aww look at this guy over here, thinking he's so TUFF! Ahahahaha! He quickly made to headbutt towards Frostbite, hoping to strike at his ego as well as physical being.

The number were swarming and their wings could be heard like a heavy buzzing.

"WHAT THE--?!" The Changling would be captured by Magloria's frost chains. He'd frantically look around, clearly taken off guard and seeing that the chains were made of frost, he'd look back smugly with a challenging gaze before the chains would soon break. "THERE IS NO FROST HERE TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH, YOU SILLY PONY!" And with that, he'd fly up into the sky immersed into the cloud of silent watchers ready to attack at any moment.

Frostbite's legs lock up. "How the HAY did you --" His mouth works, but words fail, and he barely manages to dodge, backing into somepony else -- or another changeling, he can't be sure -- yet the changeling advances, leaving no time for him to get his bearings. It looks so much like that pony, and he can remember --

A chain wraps around the creature, pulling it back. Frostbite gasps for breath. The changeling screams something and flies up.

Frostbite needs to breathe, but there's no time.

"Ohhh yes, we have LOTS of food!" The filly suddenly turns into a changling while the others lift the broken door to barricade them both in. "Why don't you join us now?!" It would grin before trying to make a grab for Cali.

"no." Cali casually puts a hoof on the changelings head. "There are a lot of mean ponies here, but that one is nice. And if I join you it's gonna make them sad. So no."

"Oh for goodness sake -- work together!" Silky would shout impatiently as she'd slip her elphenite into her top to conceal it and then grab one of the clanking potions in her satchel to toss at one of the changelings barricading the door to clear it through. The bottle would cause an explosion that would scatter them in alarm, thinking it was actually dangerous but her friends were nearby and she couldn't risk it. "Get inside!" She'd call to Astral and the others who may not be effecient in fighting, upon seeing the Changling struggle to take the child, she'd release a sigh that blew her bangs out of her eyes, "Really?" She'd say with exasperation, seeing no success from the changling and therefore no threat when it's outnumbered 3 to 1. "Trying to steal candy from a filly? Is nothing sacred anymore?" And she'd make to grab a flower pot to smash over its head. "Enough of this, get out!" 

"Everyone, in and close the door!"

One of the changelings at the door let out a screech as an orange blur came careening into its side, sending it flying. Gust skidded to a halt and turned to the other changelings, getting in position to lunge again at whichever one made the first aggressive move.
