Elements of harmony & elementals comparison

An interesting thing to think about is that the elements of harmony concept may in part be based on the magical aspects of the elemental energies. Well, maybe it is just a coincidence but still interesting never the less.

Despite being an earth pony Applejack's element of honestly could be akin the to the elemental energy of the Air. Open and direct (honest) communication. The air does not lie or change sound when it travels from point A. To point B. it just does it.

Rarity's generosity is akin to the elemental power of water. Water gives us the gist of life and cares not but to help all in whatever way it can.

Dash's elemental relation would be the element of fire. The power of creation and destruction. Or rather the power to create bonds and remove ones which no longer serve true loyalty to ones heart. 

Pinkie's  is earth. Abundance and sharing of the heart and spirit. The playful yet strong energy of nature. 

Last but not least Twilight's is spirit   the elemental that is of the others together. Without it the others will not work together and without them it will not work. 

 

Temptest even pointed this out: you can't be the princess of friendship without friends can you after all.

Oh, btw I didn't forget about Fluttershy. It's simply that hers is not one of the five and would come into play once you start getting into other elements. Hers would be heart or something similar. So,there but hidden off the chart of five for not.
