Do you ever wonder what happened to the other creatures in the future of Equestria?

We saw in chapter 6 of Make Your Mark that dragons are still around, but what about the other creatures from Friendship is Magic? Like the changelings, yaks, griffons, and hippogriffs/sea ponies?

That's the thing! They didn't explain it. Did all species disapeared or did they leave ponies? But what about their friendship? 

I prefer to think that G5 has nothing to do with G4. Characters we see, such as Twilight ans Spike, aren't the same characters from G4.

It would probably make no sense for many people but that way I can focus on the show, which is quite good

There's an entire continent to the East across the sea for which we've only ever seen a small part. There's also the Undiscovered West which divides the Luna Ocean; it could be pretty big and some of the non-pony races could have moved there. 

The Griffons probably isolated themselves in Griffonstone, across the sea. They could still be there.

The Kirin might also just be keeping to themselves. However, there is a place, south of Dragon's Lair, called Kirin Grove (see My Little Pony: Tails of Equestria - the Official Movie Sourcebook). They could have gone there. 

The Hippogriffs may still be dwelling on Mount Aris. Or maybe Opaline destroyed them. We know that there are Seaponies in the Jade Sea, though they might not be connected to the Seaponies of Seaquestria. 

The Yaks don't seem to be big travelers; they are probably doing fine in their home of Yakyakistan. 

Maybe the Changelings haven't gone anywhere. We might have already seen disguised Changelings without even knowing it! 

The Diamond Dogs are lying low (underground). 

The Parrots (and other avians?) may just avoid Equestria. It's not as though we've ever seen many of them outside of the movie. 

Klugetown and its residents might still just be trudging along on their own. 

We've never been to Farasi/the Zebra-lands outside of the comics. They're probably fine.

Also, we've heard of Abyssinia, but we've only seen it in the comics. The Cat-folk just don't visit Equestria any more.

Given Equestria's division within, I can only imagine they turned isolationist to the extreme. Whether the other species suffered because of that or just returned to a state like how G4 started is the only remainder.
