Things that scared you as a kid, that you wouldnt be as scared of as an adult

Well to me it was this cliff hanger of the first miniseries episode of Narnia The Silver Chair by BBC.

I think it might simply be the cutting to dark with screams that terrified me back then. And not so much the cartoon eyes in the dark. But what do you think?

The weird thing is. I can see movies with Gore in them, like old classics such as Saw films.

Dont impact me at all, infact it might just decentisize my mind.

But psychological horror however, yikes.

"Things that scared you as a kid, that you wouldn't be as scared of as an adult" Monsters? 😈

The opposite:

"Things that didn't scare you as a kid, that you would be scared of as an adult"

Sentient objects coming to life like toys in "Toy Story" and appliances/electronics in "The Brave Little Toaster".😳

The first couple of Resident Evil games really scared me as a 7 year old. Now as an adult, they're hilarious

  • 4 months later...

I was actually scared of Rugrats as a kid, but I think that's only because whenever an episode was on and I was watching it, it was one of the scary episodes.

tires. like, on their own. standing upright. there was this horror movie of a tire that rolled around and disposed of individuals in a very graphic manner, which then led me to believe that tires had an innate dissatisfaction with humans and were, indeed, vulnerable to possession, vexation, or other supernatural maladies.

but as we all know, movies are NOT real and so i eventually got over it :3

I remember when my younger brother bought that movie (in addition to Brawlers and A Christmas Story 2) on Xfinity On Demand and my parents were shocked when he did that. He was 5 years old at the time and this was before they added a feature in Parental Controls to restrict purchases on their On Demand service. :double-shock:
