To be honest, completely get off social media which I've already done to block out the culture of people being incredibly aggressive and hating anyone possible.

Also to be much nicer of a person, stop having any form of hatred in my mind because it does no good for me. Be a lot more kind to people in general and get some mental health help with therapy.

That's a good new year's resolution to make, actually. I should've thought of that one, I do try to be nice or refrain from negativity but I don't get it right all the time. However being in a community like this is a huge step in the right direction, in that it is slowly influencing me to let go of political arguments. It's a work in progress, but in time I think I will get there. The friendship lessons of MLP FIM won't be lived by everyone on the planet, but not holding grudges or retaliating is a good way to process our emotions in a healthy way.

I'm glad you've been getting into a community that is a lot more hospitable. I haven't been a great pony for awhile due to a lot of problems and trauma I have had unaddressed for years. You would be surprised how much a difference kindness to people even if they don't like you or you don't like them can make. Political arguments especially in the media environment are especially bad for people who aren't mentally well off to begin with due to how the media sets ponies up to be filled with rage and hate others based on a broad characteristic of their kind.

I'm going to try bringing out my inner entrepreneur and run a (really small) business on my own ever since I got laid off a few weeks ago. It's with something that I enjoy doing anyways and I'm aiming for it to be sustainable. Definitely more pay than what I was doing before, honestly.

I made a blog post more or less talking about my goals for this year. Those being:

- Get a new car (already did this actually after the blog post so there's one off the list)

- Go to TrotCon, the pony convention down in Dayton

- Meet some online friends I've been wanting to see IRL

- Volunteer at local wildlife rehab facility (won't be possible until summer/fall due to my schedule currently)

Oooh...New Year's Resolutions!

-Work out.

-Diversify my reading material.

-Get better at geometry and calculus.

I like this. I may be borrowing a few. I literally started this year studying calculus in order to observe dimensions in art (I know, totally unrelated but my brain is weird, okay?) and it is amazing how math is practically in everything…

anyway, good goal! 10/10 would steal. :grin2:

- I also want to read more books. Got back into reading last year and it's keeping me sane

- Be more active on here. My activity last year wasn't quite where I wanted it to be, due to several life changes, but I'm hoping to make up for it now

- Finish programming the game that I've been working on

- Keep destroying fun, but I suppose that is a given

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

What game are you making? As a programming nerd myself I am desperate to know :P

I’m gonna do some more cooking as well as not let or try to not let negativity affect my life in any way. :rarity:

This is not a resolution that I would even want. :zipp-wut:

So I should change my resolution to "Bother Silky more", @Ice Princess Silky <3? Ok if you say so. :jazz-hooves-please:

Honestly, my resolution was to ask my friends how they're doing more often but I keep thinking that I could be bothering them so I'm wary about asking.
