Daeva took an apple out of Blaze's saddlebag, quickly munching through and throwing the leftovers aside when she walked out of the door to see if she can cast any more fancy spells.

 

She was thinking about creating some backup such as minions and pets to assist them in their journey, first she was thinking about a pet wolf.

 

She walked a little bit more away from the house in case the spell backfired such as unicorns or alicorns with their fancy magic.

 

Daeva tried concentrating, thinking of the wolf she wanted. She spent quarter of her power into this to increase it's lifespan so it wasn't going to be a temporary pet, it will at least last for a few years.

 

She was worried it would attack us but in therory it should obey to it's creator especially when she has so much power, she thought.

 

Slowly forging the pet with her hooves, smoke started surrounding the area and a purple light started emitting from the final product. When I saw it I was really happy, it was exactly what she wanted. She went over and slowly stroked her back, it felt really soft and fluffy. It showed me true loyalty, I suppose it new I was the creator after all.

 

Daeva and her pet wolf went back into the house, then when she was standing in front of the door and about to open it she noticed it was slightly taller than him. Though that did not stop her, she opened the door and led in the wolf in. At first it was quite startled but when I whispered..

 

"They're good ponies, remember not to hurt them okay?"

 

It stopped growling and went over to give them a lick.

Starbolt had her back to the door. She felt something lick her, she looked around and was face to face with the wolf.

"What the hey." She said quickly stepping back and reading a magical spell.

"Carrick, Blaze. What is that?" She said about to fire a spell at the wolf.

"Woah Starbolt, calm down. I don't know powerful this thing is and I don't want anypony hurt, he's just trying to be friendly. This is my pet wolf that's going to accompany me and the others on the journey to defeating Ice Star or stopping Twilight Sparkle." she said.

 

Daeva wasn't so sure what to name her at first but she thought "Dante" would be a nice name for a wolf that was summoned by a demon.

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

Quickly Point climbed up the mountain he had found with hoof prints. It had been a long time since Rainbow Dash's mysterious disapeerance, but he was starting to lose faith in finding her. No. Rainbow Dash is always loyal to her friends, and I will be loyal to Rainbow Dash. Wait, hoof prints. A large amount. I'll bet it's that group from the train. He followed them, and found a cave. He peaked in but it was clear that no pony was there. He began to follow the path again, and saw signs of a struggle. Then he saw a cabin. He looked around, but seeing as the only prominent feature of the area WAS the cabin, he decided to knock on the door. After knocking on the door, he asked himself why he would do that; if the kidnappers really WERE in their, he just told them exactly where he was. Oh well. I'll dash past them, grab Rainbow Dash, and escape. We can figure out how to save her friends later.

"You sure that thing is safe?" She asked Daeva a bit worried, but she lowered her horn.

"Wait, is that a demon spell or can a unicorn cast something like this?" She asked.

'If I can summon something like this...' She thought.

She heard a knocking at the door.

"Who could that be?" She asked nopony in particular.

"I think I summoned that thing right out of hell, I imagined it and summoned it with a decent amount of my power. It has a longer life span because it's smaller, I should be able to summon a undead griffin but it'll only be temporary living until it breaks down into thin dust." she replied.

Starbolt approached the door.

"Should I open it?" She asked unsure whether this was a trap or not.

"Daeva let's get your wolf to open the door, if it's dangerous you can have it attack." Suggested Starbolt so it will be safe to open.

"I don't think it's smart enough to use it's paws to open a door. Besides, I doubt the pony on the opposite side of the door is dangerous." she told Starbolt.

 

Before she opened the door she whispered to the wolf to stay put and attack if I am in danger.

 

She opened the door and saw a pony standing outside. Daeva asked him..

 

"Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"Hi. You don't look like evil kidnappers. And I was so close. Ugggg," he says, throwing his hooves up. "My name is Quickly Point, and I prefer Quick. I'm looking for Rainbow Dash."

"Rainbow Dash is kidnapped by somepony called Ice Star and held hostage somewhere nearby if we're correct, though Carrick should be able to tell you more about her and where they're hiding." she told Quick as she led him into the house with my pet wolf sitting at the corner.

 

She went over and took an apple out of Blaze's saddlebag and gave it to her pet wolf Dante.

 

"Good wolf!" said Daeva as she patted him in the head gently with her soft hooves.

Blaze felt a surge of energy, Demon energy, if he had to guess it would have been equivilant to an S class spell for an unicorn. Daeva returned to the house with a new companion, and immediately Blaze knew what it was. A hellhound, a demon dog with the ability to breath fire and consume souls of the living. He had studied the pits of Tartarus to know what he was dealing with. When Daeva told Starbolt that she summoned the thing, Blaze was quite astonished. "Good job Daeva that is quite a feat, you actually summoned a hellhound from the pits of tartarus." Blaze approached the hellhound, "Dante is it?" He tried to pet the dog but the dog growled and spewed a bit of fire at Blaze. It left a scorch mark on his face, but he just laughed. And then used magic to shoot fire back at the dog which he just ate like it was candy. The dog was happy to eat the flames and let Blaze pet him. There was a knock on the door. The door was opened to reveal a small pegasus who identified himself as Quickly. "Um, no I think you have us confused with her," Blaze pointed to the tied up mare named Snow. "we took care of her though." Blaze said

"... Why do I get the feeling that that wolf doesn't like apples?" Quick says, shifting uncomfortably. He looks around at the ponies assembled, recognising some of them, including Starbolt, from the train. He couldn't pick out the leader, this Carrick guy, but the unicorn he was looking at was quite the looker.

"I didn't know it breathes fire, I was quite worried when you shot that fireball at him but I suppose you knew what you were doing before you did something like that." she said.

 

"Anyway, I'll be up in my room taking a nap if you need me."

"Okay" Blaze gave her a quick kiss on the lips before she departed from the room. Dante still chilling with Blaze. "Well if you want to find Rainbow Dash I would recommend traveling with us. I must warn you though we are a bunch of misfits." Blaze said and then gave a laugh.

 

Blaze had heard Starbolt ask Daeva a question prior to Quick entering the building, "Wait, is that a demon spell or can a unicorn cast something like this?" Starbolt asked. "You know there are things that mage's summon. Have you ever heard of a familiar? Familiars are pets summoned by mage's to offer support and be their partner. Here I have a book for you" Blaze used his magic to levitate a book out of his saddlebag, titled 'Familiar Dynamics, and Conjuration' "this book explains the dynamics between familiars and mage's. First thing you need to know is that you cannot control what familiar you conjure, also once you complete the contractual rune you can never repeat the spell, so you only get one familiar. Anyway I can sit here and explain all of the dynamics to you or you can read up on them" Blaze set the book out in front of Starbolt.

"I guess I should welcome you to the group Quick. You might want to introduce yourself to Carrick though he is over there." She said pointing at Carrick.

Starbolt accepted the book from Blaze, sat down and began to read it.

'I wonder what sort of thing I'll end up summoning.' She thought as she read the pages on different summoning and conjuration techniques.

The commotion all around was silence in Carrick's mind. The piano slowly played in his mind once again. It played the notes slowly, a beat to occur as Carrick tapped his right hoof. He took a bite with the beat as well. He was cursed with the music. Carrick closed his eyes, to hear the notes clearer in his head. He wasn't sure if this was his own mind...or he was going insane. Carrick didn't think it was the latter. He started to sing:

Love is a doing word

Gentle impulsion

Carrick opened his eyes again. The music had stopped and the urge to sing went away. He turned to the group and a new pony and a demon wolf. He blinked how long was gone? He joked in his head.

Starbolt put down her book for the moment noticing that Carrick open his eyes out and slip out of his meditation.

"Hey Carrick we have a new pony here, his name is 'Quickly Point' but he prefers to be called 'Quick'. Quick this is Carrick, and Carrick this is quick." She said introducing them.

Carrick saw the pony infront of him. Peagsus, dark blue fur, grey mane with a purple streak. I think I'll be the only earth pony in this group, Carrick thought to himself.

 

"Detective," Carrick said holding a hoof out to shake "I'm guessing that you've talked to this lovely mare and the others as well?" Carrick asked him.

Hypno had been trotting about and had accidentally stumbled upon a cabin. He looked at it curiously with his very strange eyes for a second before deciding he should check it out and see if anything eventful happens. He slowly walked up to the front door and placed his hoof upon it and gently opened the door and peered inside.

...

He immediately regretted his decision when he saw the ponies inside. And his suspicious looks wasn't going to help him in a conversation what-so-ever. "Oh...um...well...hi..." he stuttered out nervously.

Starbolt turned around and looked at the pony at the door.

"Hello..." She replied unsure what to say.

'Who in Equestria is that?' She thought confused by his random arrival at the door.

She approached the door cautiously.

Hypno wanted to turn and run, but instead just slowly started to lean back still looking quite nervous. "It's...a....a swell cabin you ponies got here." he said looking at the ponies with his odd eyes..

Those eyes, what a peculiar design. I don't think I ever seen those before in my life. Carrick attention went into the new traveler that just popped in. Carrick wonder if Quick knew who this pony was, but he had a feeling that he didn't know. His slow movement and hesitation showed his nervousness. "Indeed it is. Why don't you come join us for some food" Carrick said, as he took a orange and gave it as an offering to this new pony. Edited July 30, 2012 by NinjaCPU

"Oh, well, thanks." he said grabbing the orange. Looking at the orange even more nervously. Hesitant to eat it for a unknown reason. When he talked his fangs and yellow tongue were visible, and he was clearly trying to hide it.

He bit into the orange and looked at the ponies trying to pass himself off.

"That taste horrid!" he thought as he did so.

Carrick looked intently at this pony. His odd features became prominent as well when he started talking. He tried to hide it off, but Carrick's sharp eyes on detail usually get most ponies. "Might I ask what you're doing here, stranger?" Carrick asked.

Starbolt sat down next to Carrick, and continued reading her book on Conjuration.

'Wonder how this one ended up here? Is he Ice Star's spy? Probably not.' She thought as she flipped through the pages of the book.
