Snow thought of what she said as clichè, but it was a good question. "Well what about we cheat, the cheater? Play him at his terms instead of ours. It would be something he wouldn't except from you, I assume." She said logical.

Very well, when you're ready. Corpus sort of knew that was the case, He sighed a bit as he would have to fight off the demon pony and the weakened alicorn. Corpus was not one to attack first, his style has always been counters when it came to using his magic. It wouldn't be different now as he started to drag one of his hoof to draw lines around the sand while Blaze and Daeva talked to each other.

Hypno thought for a moment, and began to plan something. "That, may just work actually. But i suggest that we only do it if he becomes a bigger problem, Minos could of came on his own free will, and Blood poses not much of a problem to us yet." Hypno said with a shrug.

Sapphire watched Minos fall to the floor and Hypno walking nonchalantly back into the house. Snow following him. She went up to Minos and bound his hooves together just in case he would try something. She walked back into the house after binding him.

Daeva just looked at Blaze absentmindedly after he told him to attack him when he's caught off-guard. "You sure we no choice but to fight him? I.. I don't think I can take him down, maybe we should run away from him and save Carrick later.." she replied without confidence on fighting Corpus.

Corpus heard the words Daeva had said as he looked at her, I wouldn't recommend such an attempt. There a time limit on this tower as we speak. If you were to run now. All of your friends and leader and fall with this tower. Pity if that's the case I won't be able to see it if you do run away. However, I do what's best for Ice Star. That is what I do. Corpus told Daeva as he went back to doodle on the sand.

Carrick leaned on the wall and looked at both Starbolt and Quickly. Words tried to come out, but were left unspoken as it wasn't the time. No, it wasn't time to give in. Even in our last breath, we must push forward. I wonder...

So you need to use your demon powers to range him after I surprise him with the fact that his magic cannot work on me." Blaze whispered so as only Daeva could hear him. "Do you understand now?"

Starbolt turned to Carrick. "Not without me using magic, sorry." Starbolt replied to Carrick.

 

Fae noticed Hypno walk by. His gait and movement were different, she wondered what could of happened outside since she heard Minos shouting for Hypno to come out earlier.

Carrick nodded, "Wishful thinking, I guess. I have a feeling that somepony is close by. I just can't tell who or what." Carrick said. The detective started to think about who would be out there. Are they leaving already, has time already run out. He poked his forehead and just waited as his started to feel some of his energy getting back to him.

Quickly looked at Carrick, thinking. "Are we going to resume wall bucking then? Because that crack might not be visible from the other side yet; If we want help, it might be a good idea to do that." He ate a few more cookies tentatively, he didn't want an upset stomache.

Hypno sighed slightly, thinking about if the time came, he would have to fight his own brother. He looked over to Snow. "I'm not sure what to do with Minos... That guard pony seems she has a plan with him." He said, noticing Minos was tied up now. Something in the ground seemed to make it shake around the goat, like something was coming up from it.

"We just beat him till he can't move anymore and then we retrieve Carrick from the scary tower of doom." Blaze said and then turned to the unnamed pony general "Get ready for some pain" Blaze said as he galloped straight at the pony general with a right hook to the general's jaw.

Corpus saw the movement of Blaze as he took the impact of Blaze's punch. Corpus did move through the motion of the punch and he did feel the sting. However, his face seemed unfazed by it. A slight stream of blood came through his lips. So, you're going this kind of route? Very well. Corpus shown no emotions still. The general look at him and went to uppercut Blaze's stomach.

Den, who could not find his master, flew out of the tower. He still had a ribbon around his leg; white for distress. He finally found the pony it was for, but he was fighting a different pony. Den was no stranger to fighting; he had fought with Quickly on several occasions. He flew straight for Corpus's face, aiming for the eyes.

Hypno didn't seem to pay any attention as green crystals came from the ground, grabbing Minos and pulling him under to safety. Hypno just sat there, looking down, as if he was thinking about something in his mind that he had been for a long time. He looked quite sad as he did so.

Daeva shot a blast in the direction of Corpus blindly, blowing the top of the cave that caused rocks to fall right on top of him. She shot another blast directly at him and waited for the dust to clear out before she continued shooting at Corpus just to make sure she doesn't accidentally hit Blaze.

Corpus looked at the bird, than Daeva's attack. It was only for a second, but he registered them in his mind and made his plan accordingly. His horn glowed once again as a magic circle encased himself in it. Then the circle grew in size and exploded to create a shock wave that would attack everypony and bird. I think you need to try better than that. I don't want to delay this battle any longer. Try again. Corpus mocked them.

His feathers were ruffled and he felt a little singed, but he got to his clawwed feet. That pony = Den captured. Red pony needs message. Other pony is demon. Attack Den's captor. Den thought, taking flight again and cawwing. He watched the battle, waiting for an opening.

The shockwave disoriented Blaze and threw Blaze in the air but the cloak allowed him to land gracefully back on his hooves. Blaze shook the shell shock from his mind and focused on the battle at had. "Basterd" Blaze cursed angrily as he spit out some blood. Blaze used the bit of magic he had left to ignite his front right hoof and ran at Corpus with a fiery flying right jab to the neck. "Take this you jerk!" Blaze yelled

Corpus recognition on what Blaze tried to do. He wanted to burn the neck with a burning fist. If that were to happen, Corpus might lose his life if not blocked. Carrick took the hoof Blaze had with the burning hoof and dealt with the pain. He closed his eyes for a mere second and held the fist with the pain. The wretched fire continued to sear him. Corpus took action as his horn glowed once more as another shockwave appear once more. Corpus took another step back as he gave a grunt, As much fun as this is...time is running out. Now it's time for.

 

Head back now or this will become a problem, unicorn. A voice popped into his voice. His soft and calm tone was the one of Ice Star.

 

But sir....I have them. They can be finished.

 

That wasn't the deal, unicorn. I told you before, we don't have the time for vendettas. I need you here. Time has official become a priority. You know why. Corpus gritted his teeth as he punched the ground. "Damn it...understood, Ice Star. IF ONLY I HAD A MINUTE YOU'LL ALL BE DEAD!" Corpus temper and voice was finally heard. A voice that hasn't spoken in years. It was dry and raspy, as if his throat has already been burned before. His horn glowed once more and disappear in an instance...

"Yeah you better run, you big wimp" Blaze said in a cocky tone before he hunched over and breathed heavy exhausted breaths.

 

Blaze's exhaustion was due in part to the scorching heat of the desert, and also because he was dangerously low on MP.

 

Ice Star, if it was not for you calling back your lackey, I might be dead right now. Blaze thought as he laughed at the irony in his head.

 

After Blaze caught his breath he stood back up, warily getting back on to his hooves, and turned back to Daeva.

 

"We need to hurry up and find Carrick and the others before this tower becomes nothing more than a pile of ashes. I am going to need you to summon Dante. Hell hounds are notorious for tracking down mp signatures. If you can summon Dante I have no doubt that we can find Carrick instantly."Blaze said.

 

Blaze really did not like going through a third party to track down someone, but ever since he lost his own MP wave sense he was pretty useless in that department. So they had to rely on a third party tracking system, it was the only way for them to be able to find where Carrick and the other's were in time.

Hypno tried to forget what he was thinking about, it bothered him. He began to look around the house. He wondered what the rest were doing upstairs, and hoped Clocks wasn't doing anything bad. He turned to the mission at hand, unsure of where to go, or if he should just stay here for now.

Den tentatively landed on Blaze's wing, showing him his leg. It had a white, tattered band on it. Scrawled across the band was Quickly's name, and white is the universal distress color. Den cawwed and preened his feathers, making sure Blaze saw the band, then took off and circled the tower a few times.
