Carrick didn't realize how short in time they were on dying just than. What luck they would say. A artificial cloud filled the skies, started to show in the skies of Baltimare. Carrick went to see it. ...wait a minute.

 

Before Carrick could think about the side effect of exploding a tower with such a powerful spell. Blaze went and screamed at the top of his lungs to warn everypony about the shockwave. Carrick looked around to find a place for the group to hide. He saw the wall that surrounded the police station. It seem sturdy enough that it wouldn't have much problems. Carrick went and grabbed Starbolt and took her to the wall. There wasn't much time for think it was...acting time.

 

Carrick closed his ears as the sound will be enough to wake up a monster that was deep inside the world's core.

 

Snow looked at Hypno with some concern. He started acting up like he was about to go crazy on somepony. It wasn't like him, he was always a calm pony. A pony who did joke at sometimes, didn't yell or become angry about something like this. "Maybe there busy with something else." Snow didn't know what Corpus has done. He has powers that nopony could imagine. He destroy a city no less.

"A splendid suggestion." Hypno said as his tone abruptly changed back."I'm guessing they'll be back in no time actually" He said with a slight smile. It was almost weird how he could change in seconds without even seeming to take notice of it either.

 

Ziggy sat back in her chair and rested her eyes. It has been a long time since she sat in something remotely comfortable.

Den dove under a solid bench. He cursed as he saw the priestess grabbing her amulet, sorry, 'holy symbol,' and start praying. He grabbed her by her cloak and dragged her to the wall with Carrick and Starbolt, "Now is not the time to pray, priestess."|

 

"There is always time for the faithful," she mumbled. A look from Quickly silenced her, until she amended her statement, "There is always time for the faithful priestesses."

 

Quickly rolled his eyes, "Ma'am, you're going to have to learn that sometimes, there just isn't time for religion. Now, keep close to the wall." He pressed against the the wall, and made sure she did the same.

Starbolt ducked behind the wall. "Everypony stick together!" Starbolt shouted as she set up a magical barrier to shield them from the shockwave of the explosion just incase the wall didn't sufficiently block it.

Daeva and Blaze quickly ran over to the police station that was surround by a thick layer of wall that should be able to protect them both from the shockwave. She held onto Blaze tightly as she closed her eyes. "Are you sure this is going to protect us from the shockwave?" she said quietly.

 

(OOC: I have no idea what the heck is happening..)

"Yes I am almost positive" Blaze said.

 

An instant later the explosive sound of the massive shockwave ripped through the city. Buildings toppled, glass exploded outward, and ponies were sent flying. The sound was so great that Blaze went temporarily deaf with shell shock, all he could hear was a high pitch whining. His inner ear was all disoriented and brought forth a feeling of dizziness, it was not long before bile rose up and out of Blaze's mouth. Blaze was right about the wall, for the most part it held up. It cracked a bit towards the top, but it held. After the dust settled, Blaze got shakily up to his feat and examine the surroundings. Bloodied and injured ponies were strewn across the town. Debris was littered all over the town, buildings were completely disemboweled. The cloud from the explosion reached Baltimare and blocked out the sun, casting a very forlorn shadow over Baltimare. Blaze's expression turned from nausea to anger. He grit his teeth as tears of righteous fury filled the corners of his eyes. He looked down at the ground and punched it as hard as he could.

 

"Dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit." Blaze said, punching the ground every time he said dammit "Why does Ice Star continue to do this? He has no value for life, and causes so much suffering. I would like to issue him his comeuppance but we have no lead as to where he is. Celestia is evil, and in fact was most likely evil from the very beginning when she enlisted my help. And now everything has turned to shit. What do we do..." Blaze said while staring at the ground.

Den was coughing up dust in Quickly's hair, while Quickly was rubbing his flight goggles clean. He put them back on when he succeeded, but he was having a hard time hearing. "Where's the priestess?" He mumbled to himself. He looked around and saw her walking towards Blaze.

 

Lyth heard the last bit of his statement, and replied, "Have faith, Pheonixtear. There must be some way to find the one you seek. Perhaps we could try the mountains, though you may want to leave Quickly behind. We could possibly try a direct approach and look for him in Canterlot. It is also possible we missed something in Ponyville." She tossed her mane and untucked her Lunarian Necklace, the symbol of zealotry in her religion, awarded only to respected preistesses. Quickly approached and her eyes began to glow. She gasped, and a small gap appeared. Through the gap a silverish white crossbow materialized with a quiver and a note. The note read, 'To Quickly Point, for following the Path. The council hath begrudging agreed to allow thee thine life. They hath granted thee a boon; they believe that tou shalt recognize thine contraption. -The Lunar Order' Quickly dove quickly to catch the package before it broke. Somepony wasn't to happy about this. Selythria's eyes stopped glowing, and she looked a little drained.

Carrick embrace the impact, the loud sounds just made his ears feel much worst than they already. The shockwave and the sounds of glass shattering from the shockwave. Carrick couldn't hear a high pitch tone for a while, his ears couldn't registered had happened for a bit as they slowly relax to a stable hearing. Blaze was tired of all of this, Ice Star's actions. Carrick looked around to see countless poines, injured or dead. There wasn't many ponies who were unscathed like us. Providence had shined on us once again. Carrick shook his head and rubbed his forehead.

 

Damn everything has been getting worst and worst since time arise. He doesn't seem to care, yet...none of this happened a few days ago. They were small things, yes, but not enough in a global scale. Carrick realized it, "Wait a minute. If you think about it. None of this happened in such a demonic scale. Instead, it was calm, not many ponies knew what happened and now...look a this." Carrick rubbed his ears as the ringing sound still pitching that high tone.

 

"He's sending this world a good-bye party. He's just having fun before the time comes." Carrick concluded.

Blaze listened to what Carrick said. Blaze got up and shook off his feeling of anger and dispair.

 

"This is not the time for me to fall into a rut. This the time to do everything in our power to find the missing harmony wielders and stop Ice Star at all costs. I am almost positive that he needs the harmony wielders to make his plan come into fruition. So we just have to focus on saving them, and then we can take him out. But then again, this is a time for grief. Because I highly doubt we will have time to grieve after this. So lets get it all out of our system while we can." Blaze said.

 

He levitated a canteen of cidertini, it was the only drink he packed besides water, and he needed to get the taste of bile out of his mouth. He figured if there was any time to drink it would be now. Because they were about to embark on quite possibly the last part of their journey, and they would most likely not ever receive any personal time at all. So he drank for now, to assuage his sadness that he still held in his heart. He let the sweet taste of the alcohol wash away the taste of his bile. He capped the canteen and put it back into his pack.

 

Blaze walked over to a few injured ponies and began healing them with magic to the best of his ability. It was not long before actual paramedics and EMT's showed up and began performing first aid on the injured ponies and hauling away any severely injured or dead ponies. Blaze continued helping out, healing any ponies that were not being taken care of by the paramedics. One by one ambulance carriages arrived and hauled off ponies, all the while Blaze did his best to help out who he could.

I'm not giving up, not yet. If that was the case, I would of told you to leave me in that damn tower to die. Whatever happens now we'll be the end of this case. The end of all of this chaos he brings and to finally found out who has happened...I'd be lying if I'm not excited for that. Carrick gripped his hoof and walked over to some injured ponies. Carrick really had no magic powers or equipment to help many ponies, but he did his best. He check if they were alive and to see if they needed any kind of help that he can give. While he was doing things, he started to think about the next plan of action. Blaze may think it's a time of grief, but there might not be enough time for that at all.

 

A clue, a small tiny clue that can find us to it. Where would they go? What place would be a perfect place to do what they accomplished? They seem to have wanted to have a calm and peaceful place so not many ponies were go around. It would explain why they blow up the city of Fillydelphia, but they seem pretty peaceful beforehand. Though there was a big mark on them when we went and almost crashed their parties...but they knew that we were there. Carrick swirled a lot of thoughts in his head.

Quickly was absorbed in his crossbow. He'd made it for a certain doomed mission as a foal, and he was lost in thought.

 

Lyth, however, had no such problems. As a priestess it was her duty to alleviate suffering. She reached within the folds of her cloak and pulled out a length of linen bandaging. Touching her necklace, she said blessings over the wounded while patching them up. They would sigh contently, as if soothed.

Let's think about this a bit more. Even if he did find a bit city, he seem to find corruption in some city and create a base from there. That was from Fillydelphia. He even had corruption as high as Celestia to be captured and changed into whatever Blaze had seen. So, he could be anywhere. Carrick groaned for a second as he walked away from helping everypony. Maybe if I had my notes, this wouldn't be so hard. The detective lean on the wall and thought deeper.

 

Than a image of the six ponies, came to him. All of those ponies, missing...maybe corrupted by Ice Star. What about- A sudden realization came to him. All of this evidence was from one pony. Twilight Sparkle...yet...we never checked the others! There was no time to check the others, we find a lead and we found so much. There was a lot to learn, but we need to go back where it all started. There could be another lead in one of the other houses.

 

"Everypony," Carrick turned to the group. "We need to find a way to contact Hypno. We're going back to where it all started, Ponyville..."

Hypno looked away from Snow and towards the street, sitting on the bench still looking very bored. "I hate being left alone or abandoned. It really gets to me sometimes" Hypno said with a sigh.

 

Ziggy ended up falling asleep in her chair, she drifted off to a nice dream by herself.

Snow sat on the bench to him, it must of been hard being all alone. She's been in that path as well, until Ice Star showed up. She shook his head as the thoughts of Ice Star had been suppressed as of now. She pressed her forehead than gave a forced smile at Hypno. "I can empathize. I've been a loner for most of my life. It's sucked."

Starbolt watched in horror as the shock wave hit, she watched as ponies were injured and killed. As the blast cleared she went to help ponies by healing them with her magic. Starbolt began to heal an injured pony next to Carrick. "So how are we getting to Ponyville?" She asked him.

"Mine has been quite suck-ish too, literally." He said making a cheezy vampire joke. His mind drifted to a past memory because of the mentioning of ponies past events, a rather horrible one too. His face slightly pained as he did so. "So, what got you to be a 'loner' until now?" He asked

The train isn't exactly a good transportation. Most of the main transportation would be destoryed from the shock wave as well. Carrick sat down and stare up at the skies, maybe if I was a peagsus we could just...fly there. Carrick chuckled, it was one the few times he was envious of a peagsus. He shook his head and went to think of a idea again. He looked at the seas....the port that had been battered, but shook his head once more. There was no river that connected to the ocean here in Baltimare. Carrick thought the alterantive that seem to be the fastest, but might be problematic if there isn't any.

 

"Well, most of us have already drained most our energy and MP in this past hour. Unless Blaze has another potion on him, we could try to teleport otherwise, we can do what we did when we went back to the mountains. We fly once more. We do have, an alicorn, and two peagsus. If we really don't have enough MP to do that...there is...the sea. It isn't the fastest travel, but it's enough where we can travel faster instead of galloping and using more of our strength."

 

"I think I've told you before," Snow said. "I've been alone for quite a while until Ice Star appeared. I really don't want to get into that...talking about Ice Star...troubles me." She said. Even with her powers back, when Ice Star is talked about....she knows that nopony could defeat him. Especially not her.

"I have a bad memory somedays, sorry." Hypno said realizing Ice Star was obviously a touchy subject. He sighed slightly before leaning his head back on the bench. It was obvious still that something was seriously wrong with Hypno. His sanity was definitely wacko for now.

Quickly nodded, and was about to speak, when Silytheria spoke up, "I call the Nighthunter. He has been moon-blessed." He blinked at her a few times, then grumbled under his breath, "I don't feel blest."

 

Lyth looked at him and sighed, "Luna tests her subjects. Have faith, you've not been forgotten in the Eternal Night. It is instead, appropriate to attempt to help those who worship the light, so that we may find balance in ourselves. This is why there is the moon, to provide light in darkness. In total darkness, thing become... distorted." She was thinking of Nightmare Moon. To the average citizen, their conversation means nothing, or makes very little sense.

 

Quickly rolls his eyes, "I will find balance at another time. Shall we be off?" he asks Carrick.

 

(The Eternal Night: The Nighthunter and Lunarian equivalent of an afterlife, it is believed that through ones life you earn the right to experience the Eternal Night, and bask in Luna's glory. She is telling him that as long as he doesn't f' it up, he's set. He's telling her he doesn't believe her. She replies that he needs to open his eyes and balance his mind, or meditate. He rolls his eyes.)

Snow nodded, "It's fine, Hypno. It's been a while since we talked about it. Since the mountains when we first met and such." Snow said as she remembered that she tied up and Hypno was the only pony who talked to her. She seem to remember that scenario many times in her head as it keeps twirling inside it. "For the short time we've known each other, it feels like you're the closest pony I know." She said.

 

Carrick shook his head, "We need to find out if Blaze has the supplies or not. Than we go from there." Carrick walked up to Blaze who seemed to be preoccupied and probably drunk. "Blaze, I need to ask if you have any MP potion left." He asked him.

Hypno slightly smiled "I suppose i can say the same about you. You are the only pony i know who isn't a Shadowy vampire, snobby mob leader, giant ferret or rebellious batpony who possesses something of mine." Hypno said with a slight chuckle. "I like you, compared to the others i know, to put it simply"

"I like you as well, though your friends aren't that bad...they're just...different. I like different." She said with a smile. The air feel faint, as she took a deep breath and relaxed. "I wonder what will happened with everything. Will everything be alright?" She didn't think about Ice Star, she talked generally. She wonder if everything will be the same in a week.

"Aquantences, would be a better word for most of them, Shadow likes to think he doesn't have friends either" He said then turning to her question "Sadly not a question i can really answer, i hope for the best though and that this will turn out like a story. Good conquers evil, stuff like that... But it seems that cities are being blown up, so that's not going to come out perfect." He said

"Eh heh, cidertini shure I's gots some more cidertini I have plenteh to gos around" Blaze slurred with a smile on his face.

 

"Me pack ish over dere" Blaze said pointing over in the direction of the wall that they hid behind durring the shockwave event

 

"Jusht downt drinks it all, share isht wif everaboday" Blaze finished.

Quickly facehoof'd, "He's drunk again guys. Maybe I should get wasted again. Than maybe I could pick up some charm. Or a decent pick-up line. Maybe get a softer physic..." He gets a sudden idea, "Hey Blaze, if you were gay, would you date a pony like me? And don't just give some dumpy one word answer. I want a reason too."
