Night Blade was caught by the net. He quickly formulated a plan and hid his knife. No longer able to fly he began to fall. He calculated the fall and knew it was non fatal, it would hurt but he would live. He readied himself for the impact.

 

Sapphire began to run towards the area where the explosions and flashes were happening.

Quickly flew and caught the top of the net, grunting, "You've recieved training. How many bits did she offer you?" he asks through gritted teeth, flying back towards the group. It was much slower than flying by himself due to the burden. He was breathing pretty heavily already.

Night Blade was surprised to be caught by the pony.

"Quite a lot of bits, and yes I have been training." Night Blade replied to Quickly has he pulled something from his saddlebag. He got out a small clay sphere and tossed it through the hole in the net. He then sliced a hole with his knife and flew out as the clay bomb exploded in a flash of light.

Quickly was still whereing his goggles, so the flash didn't really effect him. He dove and tackled the pony, pinning him to the ground. "Here's the difference between me and you right now. My friends are coming, and I believe yours is running for her life."

"Look pal, I don't have friends." Night Blade replied back in a rather bitter tone. He quickly tried to kick Quickly in the chest. He began to calculate other options on escape in this situation. He could attempt to kill this pony right now but he had his orders.

The pony somehow managed to get his hooves up and buck him in the chest... I'm getting rusty. Rustier than a 10-year-old farm tractor. He rolled when he landed through a nearby window, and when he looked out, the mercenary was gone. He sighed, That didn't look good...

Night Blade quickly dove up and flew away at maximum speed, but he left a single piece of paper where he was pinned to the floor by a crossbow bolt. The piece of paper only had two letters on it. N.B.

Night Blade smiled for once as he flew away knowing he had found somepony to match him in combat.

 

Sapphire arrived a bit to late, she saw Quickly in a window. She looked at the note.

 

(OOC OH FOR BUCKS SAKE, I FORGOT SAPPHIRE WAS A UNICORN. IGNORE WHAT I POSTED ABOUT HER FLYING. Let's just say she walked out then talked to Quickly on page 165.)

Quickly tumbled back out, landing at street level. He recognized the scrap of paper, Calling card. At least he respects me. Gah, if my name was Blaze, or Starbolt, I probably would've got him. Heck, if my name was LYTH I probably would've got him! What kind of poor excuse for a Nighthunter am I? All this knowledge and still weaker than everypony else! (WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE ME OP?!?!? Because, we do things the right way. GAHHHHHHHHHH!)

Clocks arrived at the location a bit too late. He sighed as he watched the pony fly away. "I was really hopin' to talk wit dat pony." He said "He is annoyinly skilled, and I like dat" Clocks slightly glanced over to the battle with the mare, made a shrug and turned back to quickly.

 

"Maybe i should pay one of them a visit. More particularly the one with the gang and stupid accent" Noxus grumbled out.

"Just try to keep it contained, or i will have to punish you..." Blood said as he watched the twins trail him from behind like bodyguards.

He got up and slowly trudged out of the room with a slight grin under his mask. He kept a more 'If you fight it, the rest will come' attitude.

She opened her eyes and saw nothing but the waving grass, puffy clouds and nopony in sight. Daeva stood up and healed herself, at least enough to get the blood to stop. She managed to hoof all the way back to Twilight's Treehouse, hoping to find somepony which was an experienced at healing but nopony was there. Hoping that time would heal her wounds, she tucked herself into bed and closed her eyes.

Most of the group started to go after the assassin, Carrick really didn't bother to follow them. He wasn't as fast as most of the group anyway. Earth ponies have one thing and Carrick will be using it once more. Carrick took Blaze on his shoulder and started to walk back to the Twilight's treehouse to regroup. Hopefully everypony will understand since leaving a pony on the ground doesn't like a good idea.

 

The treehouse was once again, quiet. Carrick wonder what happened to Spike? He seem to have disappear just like all of the other ponies here. Something was amiss to say the least. Carrick got to the bed to see Daeva on the bed, sleeping. He gave a small sigh to see that Daeva was unable to obtain the assassin. Carrick placed Blaze softly on the bed so he could sleep with his lover.

She could feel Blaze's warmth beside him even when she was asleep. Her hooves wrapped around him as she kissed him slowly. After a little while she stopped and whispered "I missed you so much.." quietly into his ear, then falling back asleep, dreaming about being with his one and only, Blaze.

"Well, seems that dis will be under control soon..." Clocks said lazily as he walked back. He continued to walk back to the town. He found one of his own night clubs and walked inside. He was confused to find it completely empty, the music wasn't even on. There was a abrupt scratch noise as the music went on. (MGMT- Electric Feel. Justice remix.) He looked up to where it was played and found Noxus and his two bodyguards there.

 

"It's been a long time, Clocky." Noxus said with a grin.

"You too, dog breath." Clocks returned as he slid his fur lined coat off. Knowing fully what was coming, he readied himself. Great, da rest will be out sleepin' while i'm goin' to get my ass kicked... He thought with a grumble. He knew he had no chance against a magic opponent like Noxus. "I'm guessin' ya didn't stop by for a few drinks and the fine music and mares..." He commented.

"Afraid not, I've come for you. And you didn't disappoint me this time... It must burn you to know how shallow you've become over the years. Earnest dock worker, to a gang leader who only cares about money." He said

"Nuff of the chit-chat, time is bits." He grinned, but was suddenly kicked in the face as Noxus teleported over to him.

Sprite was using runic magic to watch all the events that had transpired. Once she saw that Night Blade flew off, she began to follow him, teleporting from rooftop to rooftop, staying close to the flying pony. Well as close as she could stay without using magic to fly herself.

Blaze knew he was in a bed as soon as he was placed in one, even though he was asleep. He felt the warm embrace of his lover and the soft kiss. He wished he could have replied to her but he lacked the energy to do so. He felt the warm feeling of love though, and he held onto that feeling as he slipped deeper into sleep.

Hypno simply sat there for a few moments as he knew they had both gotten away. His face turned to anger as his mood shifted "SON OF A MOTHER BUCKER! I NEED TO KILL SOMEPONY!" He yelled out, cursing. His mind seemed to be slowly breaking down.

 

Shadow regained his normal composure as he looked over to Hypno with a confused look. That barely even sounded like him at all.

Night Blade noticed he was being followed he stopped abruptly and quickly flew in front of the pony following him. He recognized her as the mare that helped him earlier. He had no orders about her so he wouldn't attack her. Still he kept his hoof on the hilt of his blade, just in case. "Hello...." He said cautiously.

"Oh, um, hello. My name is Sprite Shimmer. I was sent by Celestia to assist you. Ever since Ice Star moved my post I have been taking my orders from her instead of Ice Star." She used magic to levitate a royal sealed scroll. She levitated it in front of Night Blade handing it to him so he could read it. "It basically says that Celestia has ordered me to be your partner for the time being." Sprite said with a smile.

Night Blade frowned for a moment but his expression quickly went back to normal."I see. I prefer to work alone but I guess your help is appreciated." He replied.

 

Sapphire turned to Quickly. "Where do we go now?" She asked him.

 

Starbolt followed Carrick back to the library.

"First, I am going to find flour, sugar, eggs- Nevermind, I have cookies. I'm gunna head back to the tree house, possibly ask Blaze for my second alcoholic beverage in a lifetime. You?" He asks, heading towards the tree house.

 

Lyth was at the tree house looking through her Lunarian Scroll.

Sapphire nodded and followed Quickly back to the library. "So, how extensive is your combat training?" Sapphire asked Quickly as they walked back.

 

Starbolt approached Lyth. "Hello, I am Starbolt and this is Fae." She said introducing herself and pointing to Fae as she said her name.

Quickly shrugged, "I trained for, let's see, started at six, first mission at ten, took a year, came back, went to school for 4 more years, went on the hunt, lost my memories... 8 years. Probably should go back."

 

"I'm Lyth, Priestess of the Moon. Luna tells me you are exceptionally good at magic."

Sapphire continued walking. "I see...." She replied as the continued to walk.

 

Starbolt was quite shocked. "Luna, knows who I am? Wow....." She asked Lyth. Starbolt always thought the princess were to busy with their duty to take notice of regualar ponies like herself.

Lyth blinked, then nodded, "Scout is an avid follower of the Eternal Night. It is one of the only times he comes out of the Everfree. He speaks very highly of you, and so, Luna took notice. That, and the fact that you can do runic magic," she shrugged.

 

Quickly was walking with Sapphire, "So, umm, do you know where the tree house is? My missions haven't lead me here before, or I do not remember them."

Sapphire gave a sigh. "Follow me, Nighthunter." She told Quickly as she walked towards the library.

 

Starbolt smiled. "Glad to see Scout has been getting out of that forest." She told Lyth. Starbolt remembered when she got lost in the forest and Scout helped her get out. She smiled slightly.

 

Night Blade awaited the unicorn's reply.

"I do not think he has missed a Nightmare Night since I joined. And before that, I heard some of the older ones say that when he lived in the city, he used to practically live there. Now I hear he's a game warden," she shrugs, "I've even heard that he can talk to animals. That... Sometimes stretches my faith. But that is for another time, yes?"

 

Quickly nodded, "Thanks."
