"Ready, I guess." Starbolt replied as she readied to kick at the brick wall next to Carrick. She was rather tired but she still persisted on helping. Again she was tempted to use magic but decided against it.

 

Fae felt something happening outside she flew to the window only to see a goat being tied up by Sapphire.

 

Sapphire noticed the magic happening around the goat. "What in Equestria..." She said as she raised her spear. She watched the ground shake and rumble.

She wasn't sure if she could summon him back but she had to give it a shot. She focused her power and tried to pull Dante back from the underworld. Small cracks started forming as he started crawling out of solid ground. Daeva went over and gave Dante a hug and said "Let's go find ourselves a pony." as she started walking over to Blaze.

Carrick tipped- Carrick shook his head. The detective realize that his fedora was not on his head. Funny, it's been on my head for such a long time. The earth pony looked down for a second as he hadn't remembered a time where he hadn't had his hat for this long. I think I need a new one anyway, it's started to wear out on me. Carrick looked back at the wall than back at Quick and Starbolt. Carrick took a deep breath, his energy better from the short break and those cookies. They must of had some ingredient in them.

 

He started the countdown once more, "One....two...three!" Carrick bucked the wall once again.

Blaze knelt down to be on the same level with Dante.

 

"Hey buddy, I know we have had some good times together, but I need you to do us a favor. Can you find our detective friend Carrick for us?" Blaze asked. Dante tilted his head to the sky momentarily and then walked off into the entrance to the tower.

 

"Wow I expected this to be more difficult than it was" Blaze said as he followed Dante.

 

Dante lead them through the dark black corridors, and up different flights of stairs, they had been walking for a good 10 minuetes now. Blaze began to here dull thuds, as if somepony was bucking a wall. Dante stopped right in front of a large iron door and began to scratch at it.

 

"CARRICK!" Blaze yelled "ARE YOU IN THERE?"

Quickly bucked as hard as he could, feeling solid connection. He wonderd if Den had made his way back to his grandmother, or if something had stalled him, or, even worse, Den had died. He also wondered if the council had voted him worthyof recognition; he hadn't exactly died, but that meant very little.

Carrick could hear a faint voice from the outside. It called his name. Does that sound like....Carrick stopped bucking. He turned to Quick and Starbolt, "Hey stop it." Carrick said as he place his ear on the wall. "ALL YOU IN THERE?"

 

If Carrick wasn't mistaken, that was Blaze. Carrick tried to ignore all the question he had about everything and screamed, "YEAH, I'M HERE WITH STARBOLT AND QUICK. WE'RE STUCK IN THIS DOORLESS ROOM WITH SEVERAL TRAP RUNES!" Carrick took a deep breath. "WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME FOR HELLO AND HOWDY DOES. I NEED YOU TO START BUCKING ON THIS WALL OR WHATEVER IS BEHIND YOU!" Carrick didn't know how much time is left on the clock. It's been at least twenty minutes since we started this plan in the first place. The detective turned his rear once again to the wall and continued bucking.

Quickly stopped when asked and heard the exchange. He began to pace until the conversation was seemingly concluded, then resumed bucking with Carrick. He had thought he'd heard Den's caw from behind the wall, and it helpped him to buck hard.

 

Den had cawwed, from Blaze's shoulder, waiting to be reunited with his master.

Blaze opened the door that Dante was scratching at only to find an empty room, but he could here Carrick's reply through the wall followed by the sounds of more bucking. Blaze was trying to think of a way to break through this thick wall. When he remembered he has packed some MP potions before they left. He did a face hoof moment as he remembered his near death experience at the hands of the unnamed general, all because he was out of magic power. But he levitated one potion out of his pack and drank it.

 

"STAND BACK FROM THE WALL" Blaze yelled "IM GONNA MELT IT"

Carrick stopped his bucking when Blaze screamed he was going to burn it. Though Carrick didn't know how strong his magic powers were since the incident were this general, he felt that it could still be a problem and started to think about it. If I'm not mistaken, Quick did something of the same thing, but failed by the hooves of that general. Whatever his name is. Carrick turned to the back wall, the one where Quick was shocked. However, that was the outside wall. Maybe...this was the room he used to get in here...there was some sort of special properties. Carrick tapped his chin for a second. He didn't want Blaze to lose any more of his senses or powers, however...was it selfish of him to ask? This was a big chance...

 

The detective looked at Starbolt, already exhausted from all the bucking. Than, Quick who seemed somewhat tired, but not enough where it would kill him. It wasn't his life he was gambling, it was those two as well. He didn't want Quick to die now...and of course, Starbolt. Celestia knows I would feel....pretty terrible if I lost her. Carrick closed his eyes and said nothing, he would let the providence decide now....

"Ball? What ball? How does backing away from a non-existent ball help us? BLAZE, WHAT IS THIS BALL YOU ARE SPEAKING OFF?" he called. He was extremely confused; the wall had muffled the words. Perhaps if Blaze had been using the Royal Canterlot voice, he'd be heard better.

"BACK AWAY FROM THE WALL YOU DOLT!" Blaze yelled in royal canterlot voice.

 

Blaze just assumed they were far away from the door, he was about to use blue flames which were hotter in comparison to his red flames. "Stay back Daeva and Dante, this is about to get very hot very fast." Blaze said. He pointed his horn at the wall, closed his eyes and focused all of his willpower at immolating the wall. He felt a strain on his horn as the spell began to cast. A blue beam of flames erupted from his horn, it was focust straight at the wall of the cell he was standing in. The flames blasted heat all around and would have scorched Blaze if it was not for the fact that he was wearing his cloak. The sound of the beam of flame was almost that of a blow torch but a bit more high pitched. The stone wall began to gradually melt under the heat as a tiny melted hole was forming. His energy was draining fast, but he pushed himself to finish the job. By the time Blaze was completely wiped, the hole melted in the wall was large enough for a pony to walk through through and stretched from the bottom of the floor to about halfway of the wall. The hole was still bright orange with the recent heat treatment.

 

"Be careful stepping out" Blaze huffed with exhaustion " it is still very hot."

Quickly had stepped back a little, but his face was strewn with soot and he looked a little singed. He didn't seem to notice it much when he was reunited with his bird. The bird flew threw the gap and landed in his hair, and he grinned, "Good Den. You found help! And it was Blaze, just like I asked. Thank Luna."

Carrick gritted his teeth, when the sound of high-pitch screech went into his ears. His head felt a bit of intense pain than adjusted over time. Carrick than saw a small hole that gave out some light. The sound grew louder however, and Carrick closed his eyes to withheld the pain.

 

The hole grew enough where a pony could finally get in and out. A glorious vision was through. His comrades that has went rogue had finally come back to help him. Blaze, looked exhausted from doing his magic spell. Daeva, who had a odd presence around her...she was different. He couldn't tell what, yet. Dante, the bloodhound that Daeva summoned, than a bird.

 

Quickly was the first to come out, the light show his face full of soot. Carrick wiped his face off with his hooves and got out of the soot and got out himself. No trench coat, no fedora. Just a brown earth pony that had looked tired. His eyes narrowed from the new light that came through his pupils. His legs, sore from all the bucking he attempted to do. Carrick looked at Blaze. There was a lot to talk about, but little time. All Carrick could say was, "Though I would like to chat about everything. It's time to leave."

Den nodded faintly, happily reunited with his winged companion.

 

Outside the tower, a small portal opened and a mare in a dark cloak exited. Luna said that there would be 4 ponies, a bird, and a hellhound here. She said to wait at the entrance, and then join them on their persuit for the Element Weilders, and to provide them with any information possible. She also stated that if I needed help, I was to invoke her name during either the New Moon, or the Full Moon. May her wisdom guide me, and her light lead my way. Her hood was up, and she sat at the entrance, patiently waiting.

"As much as I would like a heartfelt reunion right now, Ice Star's generals have set this tower to blow and I would really like to be outside of it when that occurs." Blaze said "So I suggest we run as fast as we can out of this god forsaken hell hole and never look back"

"I couldn't agree more." Carrick nodded as he didn't give a chance to look around. Time was an issue now and Carrick didn't want to die after all of this. Carrick went and started to bolt it. He ran as fast as he could.

 

There wasn't anytime for Starbolt to really get any sentiment. She got out of the hole and heard the small conversation that Carrick and Blaze had. Then just after that, Carrick had ran. She went alongside him. Though she was exhausted out of everything that happened. Adrenaline had went inside her bloodstream once more so she could finally get out of the hellhole...

Blaze was the first to emerge from the tower, the first thing he noticed was a black mare earth pony standing next to a portal. Blaze stopped himself and got into a fighting stance as if he expected this to be one of Ice Star's generals.

 

"Who are you? Are you an enemy?" Blaze asked angrily because he knew they had little time before this place became a nuclear testing ground.

Den flew in front of Quickly as they followed Carrick out of the tower. He was worried as the amount of magical energy that was growing, and exitted the tower. He noticed a black, cloak mare next to a portal that collapsed in on itself.

 

The mare looked out from under her veil, "I am not of that foul order. Luna requested that my presence be here to help you on your quest. She fears that her sister is not entirely well." She hung her head, "I am told that your Aunt is being held captive, that it is important for you to know she is not dead."

Blaze relaxed a bit, and when he heard that his Aunt was still alive, he breathed a massive sigh of relief. He was very glad that his only living relative was still okay.

 

"So I assume that that portal is for us then." Blaze said hoping to get out of this place as quick as possible.

The mare turned as the portal collapsed in on itself. She looked worried, "It was; it was supposed to bring us to Mareport; that it collapsed is not a good omen. I fear for my sisters," she said, touching her moon pendant. Quickly put two and two together and made four.

 

"Priestess, Luna favors us?" he asked her hopefully.

 

"Peace, Nighthunter; your order does not hunt you. Why do you think you have your companion?" she asked humorously. Quickly became much, much more relaxed, then remembered that they had to get away from the tower. "We should move."

Carrick finally reached the light. His eyes grew more narrow as they almost were not opened. He slowly tried to open them up as he finally saw this new mare approached them with a portal that would taken them. She spoke to them with the conversation.

 

Starbolt interjected, "I could teleport us all. I just need to make the runic spell like last time."

 

"Do you think you have enough energy like before?" Carrick remembered the last time they were teleported when they first saw Twilight Sparkle the first time since the investigation. She was exhausted, but she did it.

 

Starbolt nodded, "I could bring us back to Canterlot. Maybe we can meet up with Hypno and the others."

 

Carrick thought about and nodded, "If you feel that you can create a spell, that do it."

 

Starbolt nodded and tried to remember how to make the rune, she looked at Blaze. "Blaze, can you help me out with this? It would be a bit faster." She said.

"Look, um... maybe Canterlot is not the best place to go right now. You see, well, Celestia is actually evil. I fear she may have been replaced with someone who has shape shifting capabilities. My phoenix told me about Celestia's phoenix Filomena turning from a phoenix into a shadow raven. It seems that Celestia has been deliberately opening the gates of Tartarus so that Luna would be too preoccupied to help us with what has been going on at the moment. The fake Celestia sent out guards to capture me and Daeva, but my Aunt sacrificed herself to make sure we got away. So Canterlot is not a good idea at all" Blaze finished his entire story with an exhausted sigh. "So we need to think up somewhere else and fast. I would suggest Baltimare be the best place for now, as it is the closest and will require a smaller amount of time to cast the spell."

Carrick registered that all in. A fake Celestia? How much have I missed since I was stuck in that damn room? Apparently a lot. So much so that a fake Celestia would be cast upon us. Some much work to do. I better get a new notepad for all of this. Carrick thought to himself as he turned to group. "The faster the better."

 

Starbolt didn't know such a horrible thing could happen. Celestia? How did they get a imposter? Isn't Celestia one of the strongest being in all of Equestria? Starbolt couldn't grief much as time was of a issue. All she did was nod to Blaze and finished the rune herself. "It's done. I have a vague understanding of where Baltimare is. Just warning you." She said. Her horn glowed once more, as the rune started to glow. Just like that...there were gone out of the desert city...

 

Carrick closed his eyes when her magic started to be used. He felt an odd sensation, just like the other time. The feeling however, went away as he opened his eyes again. They were next to the sea as various ponies were walking around this port. They all seem to be unknowing of what has occurred this past few days. All busy with there own problems. "Baltimare." Carrick stated aloud.

Hypno whistled and walked outside, sitting on a bench next to the door of his house alone. He rested his head on his hoof and tapped the other up on the wooden bench trying to keep himself from getting too bored. "Where in the buck are those buffoons" He said as his tone suddenly changed drastically.

Blaze was instantaneously transported with the rest of the group to the bustling city of Baltimare. Blaze looked out towards the north, he knew they were only about one hundred miles from the scary tower of doom. Blaze's eyes were greeted with a massive mushroom cloud off to the horizon. So big in fact that Blaze knew the shock wave was going to be massive, his eyes widened

 

"EVERYPONY GET BEHIND SOMETHING, PREFERABLY SOMETHING COMPLETELY SOLID! THERE IS GOING TO BE A MASSIVE SHOCKWAVE!" Blaze knew that shockwave were capable of toppling buildings, but the most dangerous thing that happens durring shockwaves is the stray glass that gets showered out at a ponies. It kills more ponies then even toppling buildings do. There was a thick rock wall fence that surrounded the police station. Blaze decided that was the best place to hide.
