"Well Nighthunter, I'm glad you aren't my enemy." Sapphire replied quite familiar with dealing with Nighthunters. She followed the two to join the rest of the group. "So that's why it felt so disoriented in there." She commented.

 

Starbolt listened to Fae as she filled her in of what happened. She only caught the parts of what Blaze was saying. "Magical explosive..." She mumbled. Starbolt knew Fae distrusted the pony in guard armor named Sapphire. Starbolt studied her magical energy. She concluded she is decent with magic, but what Starbolt was worried about was her spear. It's tip seemed to glow with magical energy.

 

Night Blade remained in his hiding spot studying the group.

Quickly nodded an acknowledgement, then switched to MP vision, closing the eye closest to the building. He took out his crossbow, narrowing the open eye. There, he thought. He raised his crossbow and fire a shot; incendiary. That would get him to move, even if he missed.

Hypno looked over to Quickly firing a arrow towards a building. Hypno readied himself as the others did too.

Midnight walked back to the train quickly. He told everypony on the train to lay low and stay their distance from the town for now. Him and his guards walked back.

Blaze had been creating a protection rune, he knew that there was no way to escape to a safe distance before the box exploded, so he was drawing a runic circle of protection.

The metal box soon transformed into a massive singularity, pulling matter in before exploding. Blaze could feel the pull of the magic singularity as it consumed over half of the building.

"EVERYPONY GET CLOSE TO ME!" Blaze said as he casted a quick protection rune spell, he had no idea if it was going to hold. Soon the singularity exploded outwards obliterating the building into nothing more then ash and shattering every window within a mile radius. Blaze braced himself for the impact of the shockwave but was pleasantly surprised when there was none. The runic circle was so effective that even the shockwave was negated. As the dust settled Blaze looked back at everypony,

"Are you guys alright?" He asked before fainting from MP exhaustion

Quickly nodded; with the box out of the way he could see the pony he'd shot at clearly.

 

Lyth sank to her knees, though not for what you'd expect, "Not one. Not a single cookie," she moaned, "I have been fasting for three days, and not a single cookie! But my fast is supposed to be over!" She burst into tears.

(Midnight really dodged a bullet there by making his troops retreat...)

 

"Haha... that was close" Midnight said inside of the protection rune.

Hypno looked around inside of rune, unsure who was safe and who wasn't. But at least that pony in the building should be gone.

The protection rune completely neutralized the explosion without breaking a sweat. "I was expecting something more dramatic.." she said. Blaze was tapped out from powering the rune, so she took a MP potion and handed it over to him. "Here you go, drink this!".

Night Blade knew he was spotted the moment one pony fired a crossbow at him. The bolt was a incendiary bolt judging from the smoke coming from it as it flew towards him. He quickly rolled backwards out of the room but just then there was a shock wave that hit the building he was in knocking him into the wall. He momentarily lost consciousness.

Quickly saw the MP signature move backward, and then fall down as the explosive shockwave came through. "Guys, in that building there is a pony who was watching us. I'm not sure if he's conscious, but I'm 90% sure he's alive. Most dead things don't have MP signatures."

Sapphire nodded she readied her spear. "Do we go in?" She asked Quickly.

Starbolt readied her magic. "I'm okay with that idea." She replied to Sapphire.

Fae hovered next to Starbolt and nodded.

 

Night Blade sat up rather dazed. He still had his equipment he knew he was spotted. He quickly pulled out a clay bomb from his saddlebag.

Such a mess already for another vile, Carrick thought as he saw Blaze lose conscious again. He really doesn't have the same amount of MP as before. Carrick tipped his hat and told Deava, "He's really can't get it now. He just need some rest for now." Carrick replied as Quickly seem to have found somepony in the building. Oh boy, "Surround the perimeter. Don't let that pony get out of here if you can." Carrick said. Whatever this pony was, probably knew something about the metal box or maybe Ice Star. Something that might be relevant to the case. Carrick stayed close to Blaze. The detective didn't need anypony dying or getting captured from this pony as well. It might be problematic.

(Since my own computer is being held ransom and locked due to some un-savvy cyber criminals. I'm gonna have to type though my TV. It will be a lot less frequent and i can't color my text easily anymore or use spellcheck until i get batteries for this wireless mouse.)

 

Shadow quickly stepped out from the bubble and out towards the building the pony was in. He put up a magic shield to block any oncoming attack as he readied his magic. "I believe we have unfinished business..." He said with a grin.

Hypno and the others waited for a few seconds wondering if they should attack yet.

The mercenary clearly saw he was out numbered. He ran towards the door he quickly stepped outside leaving a clay bomb behind. He quickly jumped up and began flying away.

 

Sapphire advanced towards the building spear raised and ready.

Starbolt stayed behind them with Fae at her side.

Quickly pointed, "There he goes!" And right then a bomb exploded. Gah!!!! Ugh, I've had enough of bombs! Where'd he- Buck it. He ran- there's his signature. He's to far, flying to fast... Quickly sighed, kicking the ground. "Sorry Carrick," he muttered, "The pony got away, and boy was he hoofing it."

Daeva saw the mercenary flying away fast, but now fast enough to outrun herself. "Psssh, I can catch him if you want.." she told everypony else as she did a few stretches slowly, bending her wings and standing in a stance and ready to catch him after Carrick's approval.

Carrick gave a nod at Daeva's idea. "Follow that pony and get the pony alive. A dead pony is no used here. We need all the information we can get from that pony." Carrick explained. This mercenary will have a good long talk with Carrick Murphy by the time everything is done. Hopefully it won't be one with deaf ears.

After Carrick nodded, she blasted herself into the skies as fast as a lightning bolt, directly at the direction he flew away. Since she was flying a lot higher than the mercenary, spotting him wasn't a problem. After chasing him without being noticed, she dived straight down and knocked him completely out of the sky. "Gotcha." She said with a grin on her face as she landed next to him.

Shadow's shield was able to block the bomb. Afterward, Hypno, Fire, and Shadow began to track the pony by smell. Clocks stayed back with Carrick and the rest and let the rest go since he was lazy and didn't feel like doing any work.

 

(Seems we have fixed the problem and i'm back in buisness for now.)

Blaze being unconscious could not reply to Daeva nor could he consume any MP potions. Consuming MP potions is never the healthiest choice anyway Blaze thought as he was still able to hear Daeva just not able to reply. Blaze knew that consuming MP potions was a lot like taking an energy stimulant, for one it never can replenish MP completely, and for two there is a crash that comes with it. Drinking MP pots is only a temporary fix for a problem, Blaze in fact should of had more MP but the day before he had consumed not only a MP pot, but also a large amount of cidertini. Needless to say his MP reserve was still recovering. Blaze thought about all this while lying there unconscious, eventually he just let up and fell into a deeper sleep state giving his body time to recover fully. I hope Carrick doesn't mind carrying my unconscious body around some more, but I need some sleep, Was Blaze's last coherent thought before entering his deeper sleep state.

 

((Sorry for the late post, my sister's birthday party was today, and yesterday I was crashing at a friends hows playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with him. I also have a lot of homework I have yet to do for class tuesday, and a speech due thursday. So I purposefully put Blaze in a state of inaction so I would not hold anypony up.))

Night Blade hit the ground hard as the pegasus rammed into him. He quickly reacted by pulling out a knife and tried to jab at the pegasus' body.

 

Sapphire watched as Daeva knocked the mercenary out of the sky. "That's one fast pegasus..." She mumbled.

Daeva didn't quite react fast to the knife that was heading straight at her since she wasn't expecting to be stabbed. She flung her hoof, attempting to knock away the knife.

 

(OOC: I'm sorry I was god modding, I wasn't quite thinking straight.. Maybe because I was on my phone. If you need me to edit that out, I'd be glad to.)

Night Blade continued his jab with his knife but was intercepted by Daeva's hoof. While she was distracted he kicked her in the chest and rolled backwards pulling out his crossbow. He aimed it towards Daeva. "Not bad, now I'll let you walk away now, or will we have to do this the hard way?" He said towards Daeva.

"It's gonna be the hard way" Midnight's voice said from behind the pony, and while he wasn't looking he sent a punch towards the pony's face.

Shadow and Hypno appeared afterward. Hypno thought telepathically to Shadow. "If i can catch him in my spell this will be easy. All i need him to do is look into my eyes." He said.

Before she could even reply the mercenary, Midnight suddenly appeared and said "It's gonna be the hard way" before he sent a punch flying straight at the pony's face. Daeva saw Hypno and said "You and your little friends just have to ruin the moment.." as she just stood there and watched.

"Tis my specialty, my dear." Hypno said in a silly accent.

 

"You ponies are doin' it da wrong way though..." Clocks said looking towards Carrick "It's a merc, and what do looting scallywags like dat pony want? Bits, lots of em. If we pay him more than his current supplier, we get information, without this mess that will be caused." He continued with a slight grin. "But, of course we could just force him too. Hypno can do most anything when it comes to persuading ponies"
