I must say the story itself is pretty cheesy but seeing how I didn't read it and just listened to the story

it made it sound quite worthwhile in my opinion, I would recommend listening or watching it

rather than waste your time with Reading it.

I'm not really a person who reads fan-fic but cupcakes was pretty tame if not a little interesting due to the gory details.

 

I also gave My Little Dashie a read and found it to be self-indulgent trite that failed to make me feel sad or pity the main character (who obviously self-inserted himself into his own story) despite it being the writers goal.

 

I've yet to read any fan-fiction that I would consider good.

maybe I was a bit skeptical about the subject. But still i'm impressed that nopony ever mentioned Applebloom, I don't know her appearance in the fic. I saw this video, and it was well animated but I found it to be boring

i wouldnt read it if i was you. after i read cupcakes for the first time it fucked with my view of pinkie for about a week after i read it. i could only think of the fic and the stuff that she did to dash, it wasnt fun lol.

for some reason, reading doesn't have the same powerful effect on me as watching an audiovisual version of the same. It happened with me when I read My little Dashie, it was well written, it was direct, it was sad and emotional, it was perfect! Unfortunatelly, it didn't hit me, I tried to imagine everything that was happening in the story and nothing. What got me very emotional was watching reaction videos of My little Dashie on youtube.

Don't care if I get hate for this in some way shape or form. Nopony will ever know the amount of eye roll I get every single time this topic is bumped. Let it die. The OP is long resolved, and clearly no one really cares for this abomination of a fanfic, as it's been stated ten billion times. The three main points are:

-Not that well written

-Read if you want, it's not a big deal, unless you're a Dash fan that doesn't like gore

and

-The animation is probably more worth your time

I feel this topic has served it's purpose, and that a generic Cupcakes discussion topic should be made if people just want to talk about it in general. 'It can be used for future people who are thinking about this also' is a fine argument and all, but that's my personal thoughts.
