It's because you feel compelled to stand up for your beliefs, which you think is contrary to any "hater's" belief. Of course, there's very little, if nothing, to go about by arguing over your likes and dislikes as it will only cause bigger problems for you and other people involved. "Love and tolerance" is really an overrated and an untrue mantra of ours, but tolerating other people and their beliefs is a great skill to build up. But, neither did any Sonic character, actually. Except for Tails in Sonic Adventure. Gamma, Shadow, Chip, Blaze, Silver [kinda. Maybe if 06 didn't suck] Knuckles. HA. Sonic and RD are on the same level of awesome. Princess_Molestia 1,460 July 12, 2012 Share July 12, 2012 ah sonic, the game of my childhood...back then it had no plot and it sort of suited it...get chaos emeralds, turn super saiyan (which was awesome too, Rainbow Dash should turn super saiyan) like anything I collect/like, I have met good and bad people within its fanbase, be it warhammer, BJD's, MLP, and people who don't like them. sometimes people seem oblivious there is anything bad or flawed about their likes and try to shove it down everyone's throat that this thing is awesome and you need to like it. I like MLP because ponies are cute, I get to have things to display and brush, the show is funny and has some fun songs. I refuse to try and convert anyone, someone wants to watch it, well they know what youtube is. I avoided the show for so long because people pushed me, and it was only after they finally started to leave me alone and I judged it for myself (rather then listening to a bunch of crap people I didn't like were telling me) I grew to enjoy it in my own way. Everybody, or everypony, is different, and might like something for very different reasons then the person next to them. Thats all from me on this. Can't visit Ponyville? Show up and say you can't! There are people that are going to generally dislike things. That is their opinion...that is their life so why does everyone have to be like us? Take Sasuke from Naruto....some fans love him...in fact alot of fans love him. I think he is a waste of space...but that s my OPINION...who cares? 2. Then there are those haters that want to be vocal about it. Why in the heck do you care? Let them hate out loud. Does it harm you in some way? I hate to say it but I am so sick of people who just have to convert the haters or silence them. Unless they personally hurt you why do you care that they don't like FiM? They can flat out say it to my face...and they have...and I never got in their face or felt I had to PROVE that FiM was good. I just walked away. I didn't even make some little comment...I just walked away and continued to like what I like. This is partially why I have trouble calling myself a brony sometimes. For example, person born in alaska can have different opinions from a person born and raised in Mexico. So that means.Everyone has different opinions.So if he really thinks that,thats ok.AND ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING:As long as you can give an ok reason on why you dont like something.Then thats ok too.Instead of saying you hate the show over and over again. The only time you should ever actually "discuss" with him is when he uses his opinions as facts. I have plenty of friends who do this, and it was not fun for them when I typed out an essay with actual facts proving everything they said wrong. It made me happy, though. And I don't see why he would compare My Little Pony with Sonic. They are nothing alike. Two completely different things. It's like comparing the taste of corn and paint. It just won't work. He thinks the mane6 characters are bland. 3. He says Sonic is much better than Rainbow Dash. 4. He thinks its not funny or humorous. 5. He thinks the plot is poorly written. 6. He thinks none of the ponies are cute or adorable. 7. He prefers Sonic and Kirby over ponies. Tell me what you think about this. Huh? Are you sure you accidentally redirected him towards this abomination? Anyhow, NONE of his reasons actually deserve a merit. it could also simply be how the OP wrote them out, so I guess I can't really judge... :/ I am baffled at how he considers how the characters are bland, yet compares them to Sonic.
