My best friend told me to go die when I told him. Other then that though no change whatsoever.

Oh man... I'm so sorry to hear that... If my best friend told me that, I don't know how I would react. :(

Then he wasn't your friend, much less your best friend. You shouldn't give out that title so easily. Edited by Bohtty

I'm currently a "closet brony," but I'm feeling more confident about telling others recently. I haven't, of course, but I feel like I can.

Too bad I leave this state two weeks from today... I guess I can start being a "normal" brony over in the next state.

Most of them don't care that I'm a Brony. Of course, that's partially because I don't really bring it up on a regular basis unless people specifically make topics or talk about it. Or of course, if I'm on a FiM site.

I'm not constantly bothering people about it, but I will make brief references in conversation, mainly quotes that still apply to what is being talked about. No one in my new school is a brony (at least not openly) and the ones that understand some of my less subtle references don't really judge me for it. I may have gotten one of my teachers into the show, but I'm not sure yet.

My friends genuinely love it. When I finished internship we all bought each other presents for surviving a tough year of psychological trauma work. They bought me ponies! So after Erica (a fellow student therapist) watched our supervisor hand me twp pony presents, Erica goes "My god...you are genuinely happy to get that aren't you?" I said hell yeah! Somehow she bought me a Pinkie Pie! My fave pony!

I have tried to turn my best friend into a pegasister but alas the farthest she will go is wearing a muffin pin I gave her

I told a few people, and occasionally post pony videos on facebook, no one cares though. Although sometimes i get remarks like "are you gay?" or "u liek ponies lul." I never really understood how "you like ponies" was supposed to be a insult to me..because..I do like ponies and I am okay with that.

Well, as the title asks, are you respected by those around you?

Are you shunned?

Are you hated?

Do they not really care if you are or arent?

Are they completely fine with you being a brony?

Or are you a closet brony and nobody around knows who you are?

This is for friends, teachers, parent, siblings.. People you always see.

Pretty respected I would say

One guy who I used to talk to doesn't talk to me anymore for being a brony .

However the rest of my friends that know respect me for who I am and what I share with them

Most of the time my friends/family just ask why i'm even into the show that's for "little girls", which kinda bothers me but then I remember that it's something that I enjoy and i'll keep it that way. Some of my friends are starting to get into it now that I showed them some of the fan-made stuff, and they actually bought a few shirts (one of them even got a RainbowDash Belt!).

My mom knows I am a brony, and I knew that she knew.

Wanna know what I just found out?

She tells anybody she can. I'm positive everybody I know has heard from my mother that I watch ponies. This could go bad for me.

Only two people know i'm a brony near me. My mom, who could care less, and my neice, who thinks I'm weird.

So yeah I'm a closet brony, not really out of fear, but because I have no friends, and don't really find it relavent to tell random people. I'm sure people will find out come this school year when I hopefully have pony attire, then I'm sure the reaction will be, look at that gay faggot over there... Yeah that's most likely how my community will react.

In the UK people Are genrally very lax about eveeything! Most people (especially girls) think its cool :)

The only person I know who outright hates the show doesn't mention ponies unless I bring it up. In fact, he won't even be in the same room as me if I have ponies on my screen. It's actually pretty useful for when I don't feel like talking to him. :)

I'm very open with my friends about it. I've actually covinced some of them to watch the TV show. As far as my family is involved, They dont know. Not that I've denied it to them but they would think it is really odd. So I dont mention it to them.

I receive more criticism from family than I do anyone else. I'm also just not in too great of a family. Not many people at school even know I exist, but fading in the background is awesome, so meh.

I wasn't shunned for being a brony. I am just being shunned for my existance...

Nah, not really. No one really gives much of a fuck. But they are very aware with how obsessed I can get with the subject, considering how I pretty much lose control every time the topic is brought up.

Who needs signatures?

   ...not me

seriously, you're not supposed to see this.

Nobody knows I´m watching it (my friends just know I like unicorns because I´ve always liked them) , and it´s not very famous in our country, I don´t know any other bronys or pegasis´. So.. the fact I´m pegasis doesn´t have any effect on my reputation. When I´m with my friends we speak about things we have in common so there is no reason why they should be bothered.

Edit: Well I just reminded the title question... I´m not respected by no-bronies but it has nothing to do with my pegasisness ;D
