I was so excited for Skyrim this year, and what do you know. It got "Game of the Year"!

It was hard to chose between Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, so I got those both.

Yhea, the graphics were the best thing about the game. They were even great on Xbox! But recently, ive had a Dragon floating in the same spot above dawnstar doing nothing but flapping its wings, for 2days now and it has no health. People are still fighting it. These are the things about this game of the year that dissapointed me... i mean i dident expect no glitches ,but come on cant they hurry up and fix them now?

Arkham city. Saved 2011.

Pretty much!

Agreed, but I'm a forgiving person. It's so huge!

My PC strategy games have been cheap as hell this year.

Intentionally leaving out features and then charging $20 for an expansion pack that gives one thing of real use that should have been in the original. It only gets cheaper each year. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

I don't have great taste in video games since I like FPS and sports games.

NHL12 and MW3 w000000000

Much better than many new releases these days, it's like the gaming industry keeps getting worse with abominations like Skull and Bones.

Pretty much, I hardly ever want to play any video games anymore. Most games these days aren't that interesting.

Wow, 2011 was a loaded year for games. Arkham City, Portal 2, Dark Souls, Skyrim, all classics just off the top of my head.

I kinda agree. I find more enjoyment out of shorter games these days than I do massive open world sandbox type games, or multiplayer games. I like the satisfaction of being to finish a game without putting dozens of hours into it. Feels like shorter games and linear games are just more considerate when it comes to players time, they don’t have you doing a dozen of the same mission or doing a bunch of pointless A to Z traveling both of which bug me to no end.

And multiplayer games, most of them just aren’t that fun to me honestly. For some of them you basically have to invest dozens or hundreds of hours just to not get rolled in lobbies. They feel more like competing in a sport than anything else, not really what I want when I’m trying to leisurely enjoy something.
