1. I don't hate Justin Bieber. I dislike his music, but I don't think it's right to say he should die just for making it.

2. I am an agnostic. I hate it when atheists call Christians stupid and/or put them down. Beliefs are personal, and no one is stupid for believing what they believe.

3. No Pokemon generation is the best or the worst. Every gen has its positives and negatives.

Vinyl Scratch is so goddamned overrated. She has done nothing but spin vinyl for a few seconds, she would have almost NO fans if she did not have those glasses and hair.

- Obama isn't the best president we've ever had, but he's certainly in the top 10.

 

- If you support Romney, you shouldn't be allowed to vote. You'll ruin this country.

 

- I've had it with the climate change deniers. All the evidence is there, and they bury their head in the sand for the sake of profits. Despicable.

 

- Abortion is not murder, and should be mandatory in some cases. Seriously.

 

- Car designs should have stopped progressing around the late 80's to mid 90's. They're butt ugly these days.

 

- I feel like there may be some decent politically conservative people out there; but much further research is needed.

 

- Anyone who thinks the USA is a great country seriously needs to take a look at western Europe.

 

- You shouldn't be making snooty remarks about a bad situation someone got themselves into, unless you've been in their shoes. You don't know their story.

I find it kind of funny that people will post their opinions, thinking that they are unpopular, when people have also posted the opposite opinion thinking that THAT is unpopular, too. So what's the popular opinion on hot-button issues like abortion or gay marriage anyways? People always think that it's the "other" opinion that's most popular. It's interesting.

 

Granted, I posted a couple of those opinions. But when I made my post, I was assuming that it meant, "Unpopular opinions on the Internet." Because there are a lot of people who agree with me about abortion and gay marriage. They're just... not on the Internet.

 

Also, another unpopular opinion: don't have sex with anyone except for your spouse. And sleeping around spreads STDs. So why the hell do people do it anyways?

I imagine it has to do with exactly that kind of thing; it's all about what we normally hear, which can vary widely depending on who we talk to.

 

Where I'm from, gay marriage and abortions are hugely unpopular. But I've talked to many people from elsewhere where the opposite is true, so an unpopular opinion really has to be a regional thing.

I don't like Phineas and Ferb because personally it's not that funny to hear catch phrases over and over such as "Where's Perry?" and "What'cha doin?" Cadence obsess over Jeremy and/or screaming "MOM! MOM! Phineas and ferb are doing something!" while the Mom and Dad disregard her. Not all teenage girls want to date a boy or tattle on their siblings that desperately.

 

For something even more unpopular I'm going to say eugenics is bad because Margaret Sanger supports this and "wanted to exterminate black people." She even said to "assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit" and also "established Planned Parenthood." Another thing she wanted is to "force sterilization of the poor and feeble minded". Who did she think is "unfit, poor, or feeble-minded" anyway? That is disturbing and racist. She may had supported women's rights and been intelligent but I disagree with her world-view.

Here's what comes to mind:

 

MySpace (at least the older versions) were way better than Facebook.

 

Healthcare is NOT a right. Seriously, how can a highly technological service that was nowhere near its current form merely one hundred years ago be considered an intrinsic human right? You have a right to life, but you do not have a right to food - you either have to grow/catch it yourself or PAY someone else to grow/catch it for you. Healthcare is the same way. There is nothing that pisses me off more than someone walking into a doctor's office and having attitude because they believe they have a RIGHT to be treated. These are usually the people that have expensive gadgets on them and then have to be sent to collections for not paying their bills. You get sick, it is not the doctor's fault - pay for his or her services. If the doctor decides to treat you despite you not having any money, that's called CHARITY. Doctors enjoy doing that because they WANT to, not because they HAVE to, so do not belittle that by acting as if it was your right all along. When I operated in India, I saw what gratitude looks like - something lost here in the U.S. thanks to this stupid "healthcare is a right" mentality.

 

I hate Medicaid. Yes, I know it is the only health insurance some people can get in the U.S. but I have seen it destroy institutions because it pays so damn poorly. Either have Medicaid pay a reasonable amount, or scrap it. Giving more people Medicaid fixes nothing because no doctor in their right mind wants to take it.

 

Suing doctors is NOT a way to identify bad doctors. I have seen how terrible doctors NEVER get sued - I am talking total butchers. And, I have seen good doctors be dragged into court for nonsense reasons. Do I believe someone should sue if they get the wrong leg removed? Of course, but these events are few and far between. All too often I see lawyers advertising on daytime television encouraging people to sue for reasons that may have had nothing to do with the doctor. I believe there should be caps on payouts for pain and suffering. Also, I believe if someone is found to be suing frivolously, that person should pay the doctor for their court costs and their lost income from having to go to court.
