gaming So What Next-Gen Game Are You Pumped For?

Alright, well there have been a TON of new game releases coming out at the end of 2012 and around the beginning and middle of 2013. I just figured I'd share my opinion on some of the games .

So, let me start by showing my most wanted and least wanted:

 

Most Wanted: Halo 4.

 

Basically, seeing I'm a huge Halo fan, Anyone would figure Halo 4. It has breath-taking graphics and the Demo seemed like it has good gameplay. Of course, there were some flaws, like some graphics being a little peculiar and Master Chief's model not being the Official announced one. Also, even though the gameplay from the E3 was spectacular, Most demos a cinematic, so I can't tell if it really has the content Halo 4 will have.

Overall, I think Halo 4 will be a big success. 9.5/10

 

Least wanted: Call of Duty: Black ops 2

 

This Game really catches my eye, don't get me wrong COD fans. However, it basically has the basic story like the original Black Ops, only with a new feel and that you're playing as the protagonist's son. It's not bad, I mean I would like playing as the son of a character in the future, but there aren't many changes in my opinion. the E3 demo seemed the same as Black Ops with a Futuristic feel, like I said before. The game has amazing graphics also, definitely eye-catching.

Overall, I don't think Black Ops 2 will be a failure, but it wont be a must have seeing the similarities from Black Ops in my opinion. 7.5/10

COD Black Ops 2 also has a new thing to the storyline, which gives it a more inclusive feel to it. It's like events from games like fallout and skyrim, where when you do certain things in the story it affects the overall turnout of the actual game. This is new for a COD game, but let's hope for the best of it. There are also events that focus away from the story, completely discluding the story. I don't exactly remember what they are called, but it would help put more time and work into the game to make the win feel much better in my opinion.

Pikmin 3.

I love the Pikmin Games, and nintendo in general, and Pikmin 3 was for me, by far the most exciting game revealed for the Wii U, other than SSB4 which doesn't have a trailer yet.

I totally agree. I'm really very excited for the next Bioshock, find it cool how they took it out of Rapture.

But there's a lot to screw up so hopefully it goes right, since I love the franchise thus far.

Pumped for: Borderlands 2 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

• Borderlands got me through the summer, as I had no working computer and the Playstation Network was down. Medal of Honor is the only FPS game I've ever gone back to and replayed the entire campaign countless times, without promise of any beneficial gain. I am highly anticipating both sequels.

Don't care: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

• It's the same thing. I don't even need to explain why it drops off my radar.

Meh: Farcry 3

• I'm looking forward to this game, but am starting to get second-thoughts. It looks to push the technology it's using to the limits, and promises an amazing interact able world. The scope of the game is massive, but I'm worried about the time it would take to fully immerse myself into its theme. It will definitely be a time-consuming play through. Probably a next-summer game for me.

Side note: Don't care if any of these are considered current-gen games. They're upcoming. That's enough for me.

If by next gen you mean next gen consoles, then Pikmin 3 and ZombiU.

As for upcoming releases for current consoles, The Last Story and Pokemon Black and White 2(if you consider the DS current, that is )

I'm kind of a wow nerd and will be getting the latest expansion, Mists of Pandaria when it comes out next month.

 

I feel the same as the rest of you on COD, I've never liked it after playing CSS and it defiantly feels like they are just beating a dead horse with a stick now, but hey I'm sure loads of people will buy it and love it

I am extremely excited for Watch Dogs. There has not been much information on it, but it looks amazing from the gameplay trailer.

What's really amazing to me is, that crash was unscripted. The player caused that crash to happen that way.

 

I'm also semi-excited for Halo 4. I'm a huge fan of the Halo franchise and this game looks like I could put a good amount of time in it. I'm less excited for the multiplayer, but more for the new campaign.

Yeah, I often joke around about them not being able to count to three. For example, "nope. The level 3 sentry is just level 2 episode 1 ". probbly the best joke about it from what I've heard.

I really want Grand Theft Auto V. I beat GTA San Andreas twice already and I still played it again. I hope they bring back the awesome music from SA (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, N.W.A, etc.). Oh, and they're making a Super Smash Bros. for the WiiU (Acording to Nintendo themselves). Cant wait.

I'm pumped for Scribblenauts Unlimited. I enjoy that particular series since it's quite fun to create anything and mess around in your own little title screen playground. The upcoming one will have the ability to make your own custom objects so that means you can even add the MLP chars to your dictionary.

Yeah, I've actually been hoping to hear more about the new Scribblenauts. I enjoyed the first & second one and played with them in my DS so much, probably my most played game .

But putting in your own creations? Sweet Celestia. Rainbow dash is going to live in the overworld that my excessively large imagination can create. I might need 2 title screens for this .

I am very excited for the release of Halo 4 and Grand Theft Auto V because I'm a dedicated Halo fan and have been eagerly awaiting the release of the newest installment in the series. I'm really excited for Watch Dogs, looks really original and i'm sure it will be a video game that we were all waiting for, a new experience.

I'm also very excited for Borderlands 2, the first one was great, i expect good things form this one after all the time it has been in development.

I don't even want to see Black Ops 2, i laugh at people who are waiting for this game.

Arma 3! Arma 3! The most realistic military game. It's so realistic that its actual genre is "Military Simulator". So they have to get every single little detail as right as possible and not only that but it is going to have extremely high graphic quality unlike it's predecessor's. Also no terrible VA.

I'm really looking forward to Simcity 2013, hopefully, it will be a proper sequel to what maxis left off, however many pix look too much like it's trying to be The Sims or Cities XL.

Definitely Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City was an absolute let down. I'm glad that the zombies and umbrella have come back in RE6. I hope to see some more horror in the game!

I can't agree with you more.

RE:ORC sorta had an intresting storyline, but the enemy AI was something you'd get out of a 90's FPS, and thecontrols were a little awkward for me .

If RE6 is the same as ORC was, I'm never buying a Resident Evil game again, nuff' said.

Planetside 2

Its the sequel to the game Planetside, made by SOE and running for a massive 9 years!

Its a MMOFPS and its entirely free with the only micro-transactions in the game allowing for you to customize looks rather than being "pay to win" as a Planetside veteran i can say Planetside 2 will be amazing if its anything like Planetside, check out the website and get in on the beta for it, its going to be Legendary!

 

 

On a side note, i'm also really looking forward to Borderlands 2, although not sure how fun it will be now that i have nobody to play it with :/
