The people are smart ( sometimes ), the topics interesting ( sometimes ) and the discussions heated. ( sometimes ) Last time I loved a place online, I didn't want it to change, but obviously it did. New people, new rules, etc.. All made it different, obviously I did not like that. Anyway, after I had to leave I was pretty... heartbroken? On the other places I go to on the internet (lol 4chan), you don't really ever make friends. But here, I've met tons of nice people. So it's not necessarily the topic of the forums that keeps me here (aka PONIES), but the people. I tend to have big walls of text, which I find easier to manage (or post...) on a forum. and what better place than a forum with an awesome (MLP in general) community and ... Ashbad 969 August 7, 2012 Share August 7, 2012 I don't know about "Love" lately (I HATE drama, especially about super silly stuff on the site) but it's still a place I like a lot, and one of the most-frequented places on the Internet for me. What I do like are the nicer, more selfless contributors of the site, who reverse dramatic situations and are welcoming to everyone. I love the staff, despite the objections of many -- welcome to the Internet guys, nobody in authority will be perfect -- but the MLPForums mods and admins do a pretty damned swell job with the "we're all human" factor in place. I like the fact that mods have been cracking down on threads that have potential to be heated. I like meeting new people that are people I'd have a beer or two with drink juice with like a good 16 year old boy, people that I wish I knew more like in real life. I love Feld0's dedication to making this the best community he can, spending far more hours than most admins do on their sites. I love Twilight Sparkle. I love the wonderful nature and aura of Octavia's Hall, which I spend most of my time here lurking lately. Were there less drama, it'd be perfect. That's actually something I've been devoting myself to stopping, or at least combatting, starting today. I'm trying to set up and manage tons of fun contests on the site, such as the "MLP fanfic in 500 words or less" challenge; I feel more friendly competition and less off-topic, "cloppers are a goin' to hell" threads should keep the good apples on the right track and happy, and leave the bad apples to rot in the fields of hate. It's going to be a lot to manage, but I want to love this site, and I can't until something is done. I hope others will have ideas to help rally against drama plagues, and work to make this site the happiest, friendliest place on the ponynet. What has fanfiction has Ashbad written lately? I haven't really made any friends on here, but that's because I don't try. Scale 30 August 8, 2012 Share August 8, 2012 While I haven't been here for a substantial time, I can very well say I have strong feelings for this forum. I've been on quite a few forums, and in each occasion when I joined said forum, I was rarely welcomed/and or rediculed. It was very painful, and caused me to be somewhat of an outcast. I thought just about every forum was filled with immature jerks who have nothing better to do than to make others feel bad for their own enjoyment. Then, not 2 hours ago, I joined this forum, and was welcomed instantly by so many people. I honestly did not expect it in the slightest. And not only did they welcome me, but they also talked to me. Right after, I went to a metal thread. Instead of being rediculed, I was welcomed there was well. Then I see a "review" by a user name Dragonshy about this forum. I cannot agree with him more. The community that this place has is something extremely special, I can already see that. I am very proud to be apart of something like this for once. Expect to see me here a long time, as I have never felt welcomed like I have on this very forum. That is what I love about this forum. You guys.
