If it were, I'd expect there to be tons more advertisements promoting shows, custom site backgrounds also advertising the shows on The Hub, stricter content rules, and probably a brand new moderator staff or an enhanced one as directed by The Hub.

 

It would probably nerf the forums too much and yes I probably would leave for a more open, less corporate forum.

It would result in everything being acceptable for their official targeted age. I and many others would leave to one of the other forums. Feld0 isn't that stupid though and I don't think he would have any interest in losing control of one of his websites which is essentially what would happen to some degree.

I guess Feld0 becoming filthy rich wouldn't be too bad of a thing, hell it'd be great, but this site would suffer under a Hasbro dictatorship!

 

The current staff would get canned to be replaced with either paid employees or lab monkeys... I'm not sure which, depends on Hasbro's animal rights standings. We would get ads, ads, and ads EVERYWHERE! You would probably have to watch a trailer for Pound Puppies or Transformers 4 every 10 minutes. Rules, rules, and more rules!

 

Depending on what they'd do I'd probably leave, start an underground resistance movement to place Feld0 back on the throne, or go to the newly founded Feldian Forums!

Fear not gentlemen, this will never happen. No, I don't have inside connections, all I know is that companies rarely, if ever add their name to unofficial stuff. As it is, they turn a blind eye to all the fan material. If they took over an unofficial site, that would suddenly have to change. People would be angry, and it would cause quite a shitstorm--for lack of a better word.

 

So don't worry, this site isn't going to have corporate ties any time soon. It just wouldn't make sense.

I think it would ruin the great community that is already set in place here. I don't want that a day after I join! Hasbro would probably rain hell upon the site, making everything about the new Carebears show or Transformers. You might have to do a survey to change your avatar, or watch a clip to post on a thread. That sounds TERRIBLE.
