Are you looking for a movie in theaters/recently released? Or any action movie?

If it's any movie, I'd suggest The Godfather I/II or Goodfellas.

No problem bro. Have fun watching that movie, it's a great film!

Also you should check out The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, if you don't mind Western action movies (or if you haven't already seen it).

I'm not much for action, but The Matrix series are good. Pirates of the Carribean if you count that one. The X-Men series, Spider-Man series, Iron Man 1 & 2. I prefer ones with a plot. I can't stand guns firing and explosions going off every 5 minutes.

If you like adrenaline pumping action then the Rambo series is definitely the way to go. Just watch 1, 2, 3 and 4 in a massive and intense Stallone-gasm. Or, if you like sub-action movies with a drop of comedy, then Pineapple Express is the way to go (if you don't mind the drug references). Other good ones that I know of are: The Die-Hard series, Taken, The Bourne Series and Batman :P

If nothing here sounds appealing, then why not take a good old fashioned browse in the 'action' section - it's always good to read the blurb :D

I personally love the die hard series :)

I probably watch die hard 4 once every month or so! It's just such a great film :D

The new batman film was great too, not sure if it's out yet thought.

I also like, How to train your dragon. Yes it's a kid's film, but honestly it's probably my fav film at the moment and definatly worth a watch if you have not seen it yet!

The Dark Knight Rises.

That movie was amazing, went to see it in the theater. If you haven't seen it yet I recomend it, there's a lot of violence and tense scenes.

Lots of action in that one.

The Raid: Redemption

I was lucky that one of the local theaters was showing it, it's got a good story, shoot outs, and martial arts. Not sure how many others have heard if it, it seemed lit it was a sleeper hit.

  • 8 months later...

The Expendables franchise (with awesomeness from Stalone, Rourke, Lundgren and a dozen others you can't go wrong).

For something more serious, I recommend Inception, Unforgiven and Road to Perdition.

If you like crazy fight scenes and bones breaking and that kind of stuff - check out Deadly Crossing with Steven Seagal.  His character, Elijah Kane, is totally badass.  It should be at Red Box still - that's where I got it.  You wont' be sorry!
