Why does Rainbow Dash sleep in trees?

I think it's because she has pillows & blankets stashed all over town in case of nap emergencies. +You can always find a tree but clouds come & go.

The clouds :3 like she does the rest of the time. My question is why does she even bother with trees when she sleeps on clouds the rest of the time. She has to have some appeal she finds in them, some reason.

Trees can provide cover from the sun so she can sleep in the shade. Maybe she likes the smell of sap and other tree scents.

 

Or she's Rainbow Dash she just does what she wants to do.
